I'm not sure if im the only one who thinks this, but Sai's "brother"(they arn't related by blood but spent alot of time together, so that Sai belived they were) looks alot like Suigetsu Hozuki from Sasukes Team Hawk(Snake.) Both Suigetsu and Sai's, suposedly deciesed, brother were murderer's, Suigetsu under the Seven Swordsmen in the Mist, and Sai's brother with Root, an ANBU training center for young children. My idea is that Sai's brother was sent on a mission to the Land of Waves, seperated from his group by an enemy attack and thought dead; as well as possibley getting amnesia, then was taken in by his "brother", Mangetsu Hōzuki, and became a candidate to become one of the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist. This would explain why they look alike and why they have never met so far, because Masashi Kishimoto is planning another plot twist with it...

Hum... who knows? Kishimoto always say look underneath the underneath! They do look alike so it may be a possible!Good theory!

I thought it was Sherlock Holmes who said that. Anyway I think it's plausible but I'm not sure if it happened.

I'm just guessing, I'm pretty sure Kishimoto-sensei isn't the first to say it though.

That figures- also, in Sais book the boys collect weapons, and in ur link, Sais bro. seems to hav a sword or something- just like suigetsu.

Suigetsu is most likely him... Though, I think the reason for seperation is because the got split up, like the creator of this thread said, but that orochimaru caught him and did an experiment, so that he could and had to fuse with water... Since he was trapped in that place where Orochimaru was hiding, they never saw each other since then... Yeah, Sai could've thought that he died, but he really was captured by Orochimaru... Does that mean he'll turn good? Or will he try to kill Sai? Then, what about that other guy that has the original curse mark? Could he also be a candidate for being Sai's lost or "dead" brother? It could be possible, since the person he knew was strong..., but you never know...
