IF you were one of the Three Great Elders of Kohona, then what would have been your decision?

Reason I brought this topic is that at the end of the chap 402-405, we know that Sasuke plan on taking the Elders.

Sasuke:"One goal- Crush Konoha."
:"I can't do what he wanted. I will revive Uchiha my own way."
:"I will kill the Elders. I don't plan on taking anyone else."

Kisame:"If you go after Higher Ups, others will shield them."

Kisame is indeed right. Attacking the Elders and killing them would close the door for Sasuke to return to Konoha. No one would accept him except Naruto and Sakura. So I think that even though Madara claims his words to be the TRUTH, there is something MISSING that will force Sasuke to change his decision.


Background:

Three Great Elders of konoha: Koharu Utatane, Homura Mitokoda and Danzo( except him) will affect the foundation of Konoha. These Elders were the classmates of the Third and they were/are the one to make the decision for Konoha and to deal with foreign policy. Everyone respects their decisions including Tsunade the 5th(forced). They are protected by the Leaf.They MADE THE DECISION TO WIPE-OUT THE ENTIRE UCHIHA CLAN.

Itachi--- secret agent of Hokage-- Peace-lover and War-hater-- Farsighted and much experience --- gifted with skills and techniques. Loyal and willing to sacrifice his life for the sake of his beloved village: Konoha. He will agree to your decision no matter what with:

WELL. Elders made their decision. What do you think about their decision???

1) TRUE--- right b/c situation at that time was inevitable.
2) Partial T/F--- was ok but could have been better. IF then HOW?? reason pls.
3) FALSE--- wrong. Why and how? reason pls.

Great subject and very well written. I personally found that they made the right decision due to the circumstances. They did their duty and protected the village, regardless of the cost.

I pick 2. I think that ordering the annihilation of the Uchiha was too much. They should have tried to reason with them. Seriously!!! They are the reason Sasuke left and Itachi is dead!! I HATE THOSE GUYS!!!

I really think all that Madara has said to Sasuke were all lies.... so i think there was no decision made on that time, it was just a fictitious tale of Madara to Sasuke or Madara had changed the real orders.... What do you think?

Definately wrongfirst of because of their attitude the uchiha clan was being boycotted so thats why the clan decided the overtake.but killing the whole clan is tooo much.because of them itachi is now dead and sasuke a renegade

welll i think that most of the not really "nice" people always have their own reasons which is not for the others just for them selves the elders hater the clan and the clan hates them and people get hurt and go through the whole hating the world thing for killing someone close.

look it a typical power strife ; you got Senju clan and Sarutobis on one side and Uchihas on the other . Because Madara got screwed ,Uchihas will always be viewed as rouges .Personally i think Sasuke is playing right according to Elders wishes,he's actually rallying all the leaf and fire country under their puppet Tsunade . Wander what The root will do.

Ok. let's see what is better, a hundred death people who planed a coup d'etat or a thausend who haven't nothing to do with leafs problems. I would chose the first. The decision might be a litle drastic but I agree with the elders. And if you ask me what would have been my next step, well I guess i will ask the sands for help and with our top jounin and the best leaders of all the clan that are in konoha and make a final attack against akatsuki, and than you would see how they (Akatsuki) would run away like dogs when the put theire tail under their knees( I don't know how to say it, but you should understand what i mean). because if they continue to send teams apartly the will end up loosing all of them.

2 - they just weigh who is more worthy of living? they ones who want disorder? (maybe a hundred of people) or the ones who are living in peace?(everybody else in the village except most uchiha clan members)
although it's a very tough decision to eliminate hundreds of people but still the life of thousands are heavier that just hundreds, if they are just being thrown away out of the village the effect would be undeniable that the uchiha will attack and threat to destroy konoha, It would be wiser to eliminate them than letting them live in which an intelligent man like Itachi understood and agreed to the elimination of the source of a confirmed rebellion plot.
If the elders can order to create a mini village far from konoha for the uchiha clan alone to live and govern themselves then the rebellion and death can be avoided.
