I return the question to you. naruto and sasuke a brotherhood... you must be joking. When did sasuke and naruto ever hang out? They only see each other has "team 7". They never went to each other house, had fun because they WANTED TOO and not because it just happen when they were on a mission.

The problem with everyone is that they dont understand that the relationship between sasuke and naruto is not intense, personal enough to be brotherhood. You need SO MUCH MORE then that to consider someone your brother. When they were team 7, they were teammate, rivals, that cared about each other. They relationship didnt go further then that.

But their FEELING. That is totally different. Since the beginning, Sasuke was always the center of naruto mind. First it was a unbelievable admiration and the fact that they had their loneliness in commun. After, it became teammate, rivals that cared about each other. But the moment everything change is when Sasuke almost died for him. ( some could say the kiss but that was just a amusing thing not a emotional thing). He cried for him and sasuke, who is scared shitless to die ( in that period of time) dont hesitate to give up his life for him ( and remember that his last thought are about naruto). After that they continue living and their feeling became more intense and they became friends. I wouldnt even call them best friend. Because that term have a closeness that they dont have.

And now, in shippuden, Naruto doesnt even TRY to hide the fact that sasuke is the center of his world.

And, I dont know if you realise that, but Naruto only became kyubbi because of sasuke ( hell even his NAME can cause the kyubbi to come out.) and everyone know that kyubbi come out when naruto have a intense emotion in him. Sasuke his the only one that can cause so intense emotion without even being here or being dead. Except for the death of Jiraiya, Naruto only cried for sasuke. First when he thought sasuke died, after when he realised that sasuke could kill him easily and when sasuke got away again. Sasuke is the one that can bring the raw emotion in him.

And For sasuke part, since "Naruto" you could see that the only one who could get under his skin, that could make him open up, that could make him FEEL was Naruto. ( I am not saying that he didnt have affection for sakura and kakashi, i will never say that, but the only one who can REALLY open is heart his naruto) even OROCHIMARU notice it. In " Shippuden", when Sai say Naruto name, he react ( that is a miracle for sasuke now) and he didnt react at all at the mention of sakura name. Remember his face when he saw the NARUTO BRIDGE. Longing, you could definitely see longing. And when they saw each other again, he didnt even really aknowledge sakura. He told NARUTO to give up on him. and he placed his hand on NARUTO shoulder.

If that his brotherhood then men everyone can be brother with everyone.

well...they are not the type to hang out...they are rivals too you know..and rivalry is something you cant explain but if you are rivals, you wouldnt hang out, would you? instead, you'll train to surpass the other...and that's what they had been doin...

love as in romantic aspect is far intense than that of brotherhood..so if they cant even be considered brothers...how much more cud they be considered lovers??

well....Sasuke is indeed center of his mind but only for three reasons..one, cuz he wants to be acknowledge and first great step is to be acknowledge by the one he admires and the strongest among their age. second, he sees Sasuke as rival, someone he needs to surpass. third, he sees himself in Sasuke. talk abt someone who has been thru the same pain as you.

u see..they are indeed that close as u urself already said, naruto is the only one who cud make Sasuke open his heart the way he does...yes, team 7 did as well but not as much as Naruto did..that makes them best of friends...

Naruto cried cuz he understands how much Sasuke wants to avenge his clan and so he feels mad about him not being able to fulfill his dreams like he does to everyone else....remember, he cried for Haku as well...cuz he dreams to protect and be of use to Zabuza but it was taken for granted by Zabuza at first.Sasuke on the other hand, cant believe what he just did cuz he himself is not ready to die, not until he is finished with his revenge but he was shocked as to how much he had valued his team that time. remember, its not only with Naruto that he had jumped in to protect and take the blow..he also did it for Sakura but Kakashi came.

he wants to save Sasuke cuz he's one of the first bond he ever had. one of the people who acknowledge him when no one else did. he sure matters as Naruto's center world is focused on getting people recognize him. its not Sasuke being the center of his world...its Sasuke being one of the people who gave his "center of his world" (and that is acknowledgment) possible...and aside from that, he promised Sakura..it was already said that he wasnt just trying so hard for Sasuke, but for Sakura as well..

no..i dont know if u hav realized that he cried when he learned about Gaara being kidnapped...that is cuz, he, Gaara and Sasuke themselves are all the same. the Kyuubi also controlled him when he encountered Deidara..he punched him BIG TIME! and that makes him having an intense emotion also when Gaara is treated badly...its only cuz he understands where they (Sasuke and Gaara) are coming from...that he doesnt permit people (antagonists) to just use what sinister past they (Sasuke and Gaara) had for their (antagonists) own selfish reasons..
so in the point ur making...its as good as counting GaaNaru in as well....and that's no good

its cuz the only person who gets to feel what he really feel is Naruto. that's all there is!
and i think Kakashi and Sakura do make him open too...tho yeah, not much as Naruto.
but considering as they dont make Sasuke feel so much understood, unlike Naruto, making him open up is good. it means they matter to him that much as well. cuz u see, its only natural to open up ur heart so much when u feel like a person really understands you.

c'mon...he also glared at Sai at the mention of Sakura's name. he got angry over the comment about Naruto cuz Sai mentioned about "bonds" and with that he remembered his brother. he did said that the only bond he has is with his brother who he wants dead. and u see, he acknowledge Sakura when she saw her, so what ur saying he doesnt react to her unlike he does to Naruto, it clearly is misleading...cuz he does.

A very well done argument. And it has been said several times that Naruto looks at Sasuke like a brother. Not to mention Naruto's love interest with Sakura. It's funny when Sakura is taking Naruto to see Tsunade and things like that and Naruto asks: "Where are we going? Are we going on a date?". I will say it again Naruto's view of Sasuke is that of a brother. Sasuke has clearly severed his feelings of Naruto and finds him as just an inconvenience.
