|  hmm i kinda agree with Ikari but only for the first half of the series,,,,it seems to me that when he finally figures out that hes being used.....he just gives up carring and accepts it as the most recognition he will ever get....its most evident in #78 that he dosen't care anymore if he lives or dies

| hes just crazy i agree w/ oddmanout60 but when he just accepts it, he also just give up & gets all depressed and goes crazy. who wouldn't after having his friend die(and he blames himself, his (whatever his & rei's relationship was) basicly die protecting him, another 1 of his friends going crazy, and then killing some1 he loved. + all that stuff ikari said Last edited by zolform : 05-03-2008 at 11:39 PM. | yeah actualy i think the above user is correct.... my medical analasys would be that he is mildly pyschotic, and suffers from post traumatic stress.

|  better life 4 shinji mildly psychotic...  yeah he still cares about other... while the real psychotic care for no one but its living with Nerv and it's stuff that makes him become that pscho.... bcz they make him realize that he does need others and he become dying of wanting to be needed eventough it would sacrifice his own self i guess if he keeps living with his (uncle/teacher ?) he'll only be a passive kid with no goal in life but won't be hurted any deeper....  just a boring and flat lifewhich one is better 4 shinji ?

| Shinji was emo before he came to nerv hes doublely emo since he got there i mean its every boys dream(ok straight boy my gay cousin would concur with me) to pilot mecha with hot chicks at their side but shinji in stead of being happy is driven to gain his fathers affection something he wont get because his da 1 is a dick 2 is totally obbsessed with shinjis mom thus rei is her clone not to mention gendo ikari is a man whore but i digress shinji isnt crazy hes just a brooding teenager like the rest he just wants someone to recognize him someone he holds in high regards his dad and doesnt care for anyone elses opinon on his recogniztion he just does wat they say cause they really just pull rank on him |
