I don't belive that the One Piece is treasure or something that has physic form, accept a letter. I think it's more about friendship and love, like how to be always together no mater how the circustances are. it's a posibibility that the final battle would take place where is supposed to be hiden One Piece. And after Luffy wins he will leaves without looking the place where OP is hiden, and everybody would be surprised from luffys action, but he will answer that now he founded and knows what is OP. And the enemie would go and find a letter inside a box where will be writed something like I mentioned earlier.
Because the biggest treasure is friendship and love, roger knewed and for that reason before his death he said so and smiled.

That is true.... but if you think back, most of the sh crew didnt want to be a pirate at first and they definetly didnt want to join luffy. I mean, zolo didnt want to be a pirate, nami didnt want to become part of luffy's crew, usopp didnt really want to be part of luffy's crew at first, sanji didnt want to be a pirate, chopper didnt want to be a pirate, franky not only didnt want to be a pirate, but he hated luffy to! But guess what, luffy still got him to join. Only robin and brooke joined out of their free will. So i wouldnt be surprised if rayleigh joined to

ya i kind of defeats the purpose of the story a pirate crew braving the seas to become the strongest pirates in the world and conquer one piece. Him being there makes it way to easy for them to win fights. Besides this is the new generation there are taking the place of the old. So ya he will definately teach em something.

I think the thing that made everyone fall asleep was just their own physical pressure from killing intent. remember shanks when he walked on board white beard's ship they all got knocked out so zoro is most likely canadiate for it thinking this. He has crazy killing intent which I personally don't think luffy has.

yeah just exactly what i wanted to point out.... Everytime they are looking for a person to work on their ship, they are always acquiring that person as their own crew... However, brooke was just lucky that luffy had liked his music...LOL, back to topic, luffy is looking for a coating engineer and fortunately rayleigh was an engineer. So i just think because of his old age, i think after doing his job on the ship, he will die or will be killed?LOL, oh my....

While it merits the logic that Luffy pretty much gets what he wants, I'm thinking a coating engineer is too specific. You'd probably only need them one or twice (on the way to and back from the grand line). Also considering they said he was many times stronger then Luffy it kind of defeats the purpose, as shouldn't the captain be the strongest of the crew. '


So I'm sticking with that he will probably just give luffy some advice.
