i think think that boa made up that story so that no one can see her naked because she might really be a guy and doesn't want anyone to know.

that's why anyone who sees her naked has to die or else she'll be found out and can't rule over amazon lily and live her life of luxury.

also, the tattoo is most likely whitebeard's tattoo because Ace had it on his back also and boa doesn't want to go confront whitebeard and be found out that she was once in his crew.

although there could be a possibility thats she is his mom... she is oldest sister and she kinda sorta looks like him....but now that i type this i really doubt that she is his mother...

I think she could be his mom. Luffy doesn't really know much about his parents since his grandfather has aparently taken care of him since he was young, so she may not know what her son would look like now if she hasn't seen him in that long. He didn't even know who his father was, I don't think he knows about his mother. Plus she's the leader of an island filled with only women and where any man who enters is killed. Would she really risking bringing her son onto the island?

He did recognize the mark on her back which could even have something to do with his father. (Too early to tell though). I don't think the mark is a curse though. It may just be something that she's trying to hide from the village.

And, I think she's older then what people are thinking her to be. She seems like the person to go through extream lengths to stay young and beautiful. She looks to be to be the right age of Luffy's mom. (Luffy dose look really childish though, still . . . )

As for not being affected by her power, it could have something to do with her being related to him or it may just be Luffy's to stupid and childish to be affected by something like that.

But that's just my theory. It's possible, and I wouldn't be all that supprised either way. Luffy may end up smacking some sense into her either way cuz she really needs it right now. I think after dealing with Luffy she may change her views a little.

after Luffy save her tatoo on her back and said it looks familiar, she said that nobody must ever see it even if she dies
she uses Mero Mero on him, but Luffy understands it as Noro Noro at 1st
sounds familiar?^^
Noro Noro beam was an ability used by Foxy the Silver fox, from Davy Back fight
it could be possible that the tatoo on her back is actually the mark of Foxy's crew and she's probably his ex-wife XD and she's trying to hide it from other Amazons that he was with a man XP
