Firstly i think they're REALLY similar cuz none of them fears the dangers of Grand Line...
You can tell by the way Luffy reacts when something happens(every1 screaming and Luffy laughing)Luffy-Roger

Secondly i believe that Zeff(the man who brought up Sanji) was part of Roger's crew
until he died and Zeff continued on his own to find All Blue...Sanji-Zeff

Thirdly Tom... the shipwright that brought up Iceburg and Franky... Franky built an awesome
ship and went with Luffy afterwards...Franky-Tom

Then this is just a thought of mine but don't u think Robin's mother(Nico Olvia) was part of Roger's crew and as soon as she decided to leave, Roger learned how to dechipher the
Poneglyphs in order to make her dream come true?I mean there's no other way Roger could know how to read the Poneglyphs...Robin-Olvia

Also what do u think about Shakky? Personally i think she is JUST like Nami...
Obsessed with money ripping guyz... probably a navigator on Roger's ship(random thought but since she acts very much like Nami she could be)so...Nami-Shakkie

And Last but not least for Chopper... for this one there are 2 thoughts in my head...
1)Dr. Kureha(Doctorine) speaks of Roger like she knows him(when she's chatting with Dalton and says... Gol D. Roger... the will of D. lives on)so...Chopper-Dr. Kureha
And
2)Dr. Hiluluk this one's more probable cuz when Dr. Kureha talks to Chopper about a very famous thief and finally reveals that this person is Dr. Hiluluk, then it dawned on me that it's only natural for Roger's Doctor to be very famous so that gives us...Chopper-Dr Hiluluk

I'd like to hear other opinions about this subject...

they same similar because they are, they both aimed for the same goal and I bet that Gold D. Roger had a personality like Luffy's
and when Kureha said that the D lives on, I think she means the same goal for people with the initial D in their name

Really good observation. I think that they are similar and if not related, are connected in some way. By the way, what Devil's Fruit if any do you think Gol D. Roger had?

Basically i don't think he had actually eaten a Devil's Fruit and i also believe that Shanks got his Chivalry about being a pirate(if u eat a devil's fruit, u won't be able to swim and so on) from him
And one last thing that just crossed my mind:
Does any of you think that Luffy and Coby's Relationship is Similar to Roger's and Garp's?
One chasing the other... Whitebeard's words(Roger Garp Sengoku a few of them that knew the seas back in the day remain)And the Water 7 people's words(isn't that the great Marine that confronted Gold Roger numerous times)
And since Helmeppo uses swords and Zoro uses swords i'd say that Zoro and Helmeppo could be like Whitebeard and Sengoku.
And one more thing: If there really is such a stunning similarity don't u think that Whitebeard was Roger's First Mate just like Zoro in Luffy's crew?

To sum up should all of this be true what we're watching/reading is just a replay of the past with new characters

I don't think it's a replay, cause Roger must have had it much easier cause there were nearly none other pirates worth being called so since the Pirate age started after his death and at least one of the Yonkou (Shanks) was part of his crew...
