Question:
who is stronger in seigaku, captain tezuka or ryoma?

I know that in the anime ryoma beats tezuka right before the US Open, but i don't belive it happens in the manga.

Speaking of that, why on earth are the anime and manga so different? Frankly, I find it quite annoying.

Anyway, I'd like to know your opinions, so please comment!

ACCORDING TO KONOMI, TEZUKA IS STILL THE #1 PLAYER IN SEIGAKU EVEN IF RYOMA IS THE MAIN PROTAGONIST. TEZUKA IS SURELY STRONGER THAN ECHIZEN SINCE ECHIZEN CONSIDERS HIM BOTH HIS RIVAL AND A WALL THAT HE NEEDS TO SURPASS! JUST FACE IT, TEZUKA WILL BE FOREVER UNBEATABLE! AND IF THE TIME COMES THAT RYOMA WILL BE ABLE TO DEFEAT HIM, I REALLY THINK TEZUKA WON'T REALLY MIND SINCE THAT'S PART OF HIS GOAL AFTERALL, HE WANTS ECHIZEN TO BEAT HIM. GOD! I REALLY LOVE TEZUKA KUNIMITSU! HE'S SO PERFECT!

Hnn... well, if I read the manga, I'd probably be all "LOLWUTUTALKINBOUT? Tezuka, duh."

As "proven" in the anime, it's Ryoma. Because I don't think in the anime that Ryoma loses a single match -_- Not sure if it's like that in the manga though. Come the HELL ON!! Can't he just lose once? (Well in the anime in an unofficial match, he got his ASS WHOOPED by the all mighty Sanada.) Speaking of Sanada, he doesn't tarundarou in the anime! Whyyy! I want to see him slap someone...

When I finish the anime (I'm watching the OVAs right now) I'll definetly read the manga, because it looks even cooler than the anime, which is so awesome. I hear there'll be a follow up project being announced some where in November, so I'm looking foward to hearing if it'll happen or not. I keep thinking, will it be of Ryoma's 2nd year in Seigaku with new characters and such? Ooh, if that's so, the Hyoutei matches... wow. Chohtaro, Kabaji, and the (ever lovely XD) Hiyoshi... hnn. I also think, "What if it's side stories for the other schools? That'd be nice..." or maybe just focussing on the 2nd most popular school (I'm fairly sure that was Hyoutei, then Rikkai. Or Shitenhouji... I don't know. o_o)

Ahh, I never really answered the question. Ehh since I'm someone who's watching the anime it's probably Tezuka, because Ryoma is Gary Stu x400 so... ahh. Ya kno? Just a lucky win in the anime is all.
Or maybe he really is stronger... (and wtf @ his match with our darling Atobe? failfailfail)

in he anime, he did literally.. but in the manga, he didn't except for the fact that ryoma won against yukimura, the child of god.. so idk.. maybe it means that he indeed defeated tezuka but we still don't know..

i still go for tezuka! mada mada dane ryoma-kun!

My vote goes to Tezuka

Tezuka is stronger because he is older

Tezuka is stronger because he has more experience

Tezuka is stronger because he helps Ryomah overcome his own walls so he can grow up to become a greater player than Ryomah's dad and himself. It takes a strong dude to help others become better than himself.

apparently we cannot easily measure their strengths ..but ryoma beats tezuka in the anime.....maybe ryoma really is stronger but you cant doubt tezuka's skills a formidable opponent just like ryoma's dad and yukimura

Ryoma is the BEST!!! Ryoma beat Tezuka before and also Ryoma has improved and exceed all players already I'm sure Ryoma is stronger!(Still waiting for the OVA 23 to be release.)
