| Young Reader | i think that the anime series shown on TV was better than the book. it was a lot more interesting and was funny^-^ to be honest i'v never read the manga, but the drawings are better than the ones in the book.

| I actually watched a few of the first anime episodes on TV before I read the manga, that was what sparked my interest. The channel was discontinued so I never did get to see the entire anime. I didn't really know if SDK was a manga or not, so I searched for it. Obviously, it was a manga. I'm very glad that I found it online. (Even if there is a huge gap after ch. 134...still ) Back to the subject. As soon as I was done with the first few chapters I was definitely sure that the manga was much, much (much) better than the anime. The story has a lot more depth and the characters are much more rounded. As far as I've gotten in comparing the anime and the manga, I would definetely recommend the manga over the anime. ![]()

| The manga is waaaay better than the anime; and the anime seriously diverges from the manga within the first episode (and the endings are completely different, as the anime series wrapped up long before the manga series did!). Give the manga a shot, really...both my hubbie and I love it! |

| Are you serious!? I wanted to butcher the producers of the anime 'cause they RUINED the greatness of Samurai Deeper Kyo!!! Grrrr.... if they were going to trash the story I'd rather they didn't make the anime! (Or at least waited until more volumes came out so they could follow the original story).I love the manga so much it was the only one wherein I patiently collected all 38 volumes. It's my favorite shounen manga ![]() |
