honestly, I think his feelings for her are more of extreme admiration an actual love... she has a strength that he had constantly wanted and she was able to teach him so much, he can't help but put her on a pedistual as a hero. Then, I believe, he has taken these feelings of admiration and mistaken them for love... this is what I beleive he is doing, but I could be incorrect, it's just what I think

Yeah, I also think it's more like admiration.. He doesn't have a big crush or anything... but more like, he looks up to her because she's the one who introduced him to this big badass kung fu world ;D
