Okay, if you have read past the Celes Arc, then you know that Fay designed Chi after a photo of his mother. If this is true, then does that mean that in Valeria there was an alternate Hideki who was his father and Elda was his mother? Unless, of course, it was Freya ... though I doubt that, seeing as how Fay names her 'Chi' which is CLAMP's way of saying "Elda".
Yeah, yeah, I know it has nothing to do with the plotline and is basically unimportant, but I'm just curious as to what anyone else thinks. We'll never know, that's for sure, but I just wanted to see who else thought of this.

Well, Tsubasa Chi doesn't seem at all to = Chobits Chi.

If you remember, "Chi" Elda / Freya showed up when Sakura's body and soul divided, and that one had the "persicom ears" so that would be the Tsubasa parallel from Chobits. The Chi in Tsubasa seems different (and not just a parallel different, but different character different). You could be correct, however, because CLAMP is crazy like that. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll ever know more than we do since the information isn't really relevant to the series now. And Tsubasa Chi is gone now.

Yes, but at the same time, even if the character is only inspired by Chi, it is still her. Different universe and circumstances, same soul. If 'Chi' was Fay's mother than he name probably wasn't Elda or Chi, but still. It makes the most sense to assume that Hideki, or whatever his name there might have been, was his father.
But yes, TRC Chi is dead, so I guess it doesn't matter. I don't know, it would have been cool if CLAMP had shown us the picture and Fay and Yuuy's father along with it.
Oh well, I just posted this for the sake of conversation anyway. =D

It would have been nice to see him. Dark persian has a drawing of Fay's parents she's made, but the dad looks like Fay, not Hideki. (I just realised, how would gay get blonde hair and those features if Hideki was his dad?)

Hmmm ... true. Maybe he got most of his features from his mother? This IS CLAMP, they don't always make the siblings or parents all look like. Unless it's twins, of course. Oh, and I just noticed they make twins a lot in their manga, too. I felt stupid for not noticing before. Also, in TRC, are Fuuma and Seishiro twins? I know they're brothers, but someone on a board said they were twins. I don't think so, but I could be wrong.
Oh, and by 'gay' you mean Fay right? xDDD
