Ok, I might seem a little dumb asking this, but can anyone explain the connection between Syaoran and Watanuki? I've read both Holic and TRC up to date, but I'm still really confused.

its just a guess and this may be a SPOILER but i think that watanuki and "shaoran" are childhood freinds since it seems like he seemed to live in that world with shaoran and sakura, who are his parents.

Yeah its driving me nuts.......I mean Syaoron seems to know Watanuki as well, so maybe they were frnds way back when only CLAMP knows.......

They have the same 'soul'. I think they're interlinked--if one dies, so does the other, as Syaoran paid for the price to save Watanuki's life in volume 10.

Ok, I have a theory! I'm not sure I can put this in english, but here we go! I think Yuuko that talked to the *little true Shaoran it's in the future!!!! YES! Why? Because first she said in the firsts chapters of xxxholic that she would someday meet the girl named Sakura and her boyfriend and she was holding the bacullum that looks like a bird. But if you pay attention, when Yuuko talks to *little true Shaoran and he asks her about the price for his wish, she says that she had already received the payment, and you can see the star bacullum!! And she told him that she already knew his mother and father O.O!!!! Second, remember when Yuuko got the feather that was inside Kohane-chan? She said that didn't make sense that feather be there in that time, because that is something that will happen in the future. So it's not only worlds that cross, linetime cross too ^^-!! But I don't know if it's because of Fei Wang or if it's because .... something else XD!
About Watanuki, I'm not sure from wich linetime is Watanuki, but the parents of *little true Shaoran (Sakura and Shaoran) told him about Watanuki, so I think *little Shaoran is from the future, and Watanuki from the past. But I'm kinda thinking that maybe Watanuki was send to past, because Yuuko said that what *little Shaoran wished in the end of the seventh day would change Watanuki's destiny.... And I think that maybe Watanuki is descendent of clow..... Don't ask why, I'm just guessing....

Well My guess is maybe and i say MAYBE Watanuki is the child of Sakura And Syaoran. It is just only my guess, Sakura and Syaoran had the same birthdate right? Everyone know that it is April The 1st. In Chinese Watanuki's name is April The 1st. So after i've been discussing with my friends about it. They say that it is very possible that Watanuki MAYBE the CHILD of sakura and Syaoran.AND it can explain that Watanuki Had paid the price for Syaoran by forgetting his parents(Sakura and Syaoran).it's just only my guess....

Maybe you're right, that makes sense! But Shaoran b-day is July 13th in CCS. In TRC Sakura chooses a day to be his birthday, because he doesn't remember (the clone). The true little Shaoran never said nothing until now about his b-day.
