I think Fai will return to Nihon with Kurogane. But that's just my guess.

Doesn't Fay have to stay with kurogane now anyway. Since kurogane is Fay's bait he can only get blood from him and Yuuko said that Fay would only overcome his vampiric blood with the power of both his eyes, but he gave up the magic he still had for that artificial arm.

Then again Fai Wong(?) said that the eye clone Sayoran had was getting stronger. Hmm.....

I have a feeling that Fay will get his eye back when the final battle is over.

I seem to remember something about the eye was getting stronger, but also reducing C!Syaoran's life. Is that true?

Back to luvinsuns comment I have checked two book translations and the scanlation and can only find reference to one eye being mentioned ' when you get your left eye back' Yuuko says. But then ofcourse he had his right eye. Excellent point I had never considered the need for both eyes to stop the vampire curse - I had thought like Seeliespright that fai would get his eye back and they would part ways.

I am checking on C! Syaorans reduced life-span associated with the ever increasing magic in the eye he stole from fai.

Maybw Vol23 (chpt 175) when the two Syaorans are battling it out

Fuma talks to his little brother Seishirou about Fai (I think) saying 'apparently the magical power in his remaining right eye diminishes both his life and his power the more he uses it.......but the magical power in Syaoran-kun's right eye was getting stronger the more he used it' I had always interpreted this to mean that Fai had been lied to - been made to believe that using his magic would reduce his power and life.

Yup, Yuuko explicitly said that if Fay ever gets his other eye back, he will cease to be a vampire and dependent on Kurotan. I don't think she said that Fay would eventually also get all of his power back, but presumably if the eye gains power as magic is used, Fay could build his power back up by using his magic. The thing is, he doesn't like his magic and probably wouldn't use it except when absolutely necessary (and once FWR is dead, he won't really run into many situations where it will be necessary).

I think the reason Syaoran's power grows as he uses it is because he is "complete" having two eyes. Fay has said that because he is missing an eye, his magic diminishes with use. And he used the last of his magic to get Syaoran, Sakura and Kurotan out of Celes, and the last little tiny bit to get Kurotan an arm. I don't think it has been explicitly indicated that Fay's life now diminished with his magic, but it may have.

Fay goes where ever Kurogane goes, naturally. Unless he gets his eye back; but even then it's not as if he can go back to Celes.
Then there's the chance that him and Kuro might not live long enoughto discuss where they'll settle down at ... but I have hope that CLAMP won't kill my two favorite characters ever. Hope.
I've been wondering that. Is Fay's life still expanded even though he lost all of his magic? I think Mokona made a comment about that in the chapter Kuro gets his new arm. Don't remember what she said or Fay's response. Darn.

When Fay was made into a vampire, Yuuko said that his life was reduced, but that he'd still live for a very long time because he already had a long life-span as a magician.

I thought she said his life span was expanded, but it wouldn't make much of a difference since his magic expands his life a lot more.
