I think I've been reading too much because I am really confuse right now. I'm up to chapter 39 and I have a lot of questions that I hope you guys can answer for me.
Who is Rido-san?
What does he have to do with Kaname?
Are Yuuki and Kaname related by blood?
and why is Zero being locked up?

A pureblood vampire, Senri Shiki's father, Haruka Kuran's elder brother, and Yuki's uncle. He is supposed to be dead and his true body appears that way. However, he is still able to transfer his soul to other bodies and take control. His eyes are two different colors (crimson and blue), and when his soul is transferred to a different body, that body has eyes of two different colors. Rido's soul was is in control of his son's body but recently he has recovered his real body.

According to Asato Ichijou, he is the true head of the Kuran family. He currently is secretly reviving himself and gaining power, which only the council members know. Ten years ago, he was killed by Kaname when Rido attempted to kill Yuki as a sacrifice for undisclosed purposes. Rido is also aware that his fiancée, Shizuka Hiou, was killed by Kaname.

Rido is the one who revived Kaname, who is the Original Vampire. That is also the reason for Kaname for not being able to kill him.

In the recent chapters 38 and 39, Kaname gives the Kuran blood to Rido in order to restore Rido to his original body.

In chapter 40, it is revealed that Rido is the one who change the list of the vampires (level E) needed to be killed. He is the one who put the name of the manservant (who has never been fallen into Level E) whom Shizuka loved in the list. Resulting for the Hunter's association to falsely accused the manservant as Level E and assigned the Kiryu family to kill it.

It has been revealed in Chapter 38 that Haruka and Juri Kuran had a son, but his soul was killed by Rido Kuran and Kaname's soul was put into his body. Kaname was the ancestor of the Kuran Family thus resurrected by Rido from the grave, who became his 'master' making him unable to kill Rido. (Compare to the relationship between Shizuka Hiou and Zero). Juri and Haruka, Yuki's parents, raised Kaname as Yuki's brother, although Kaname never fully became 'their son'. Yuki and Kaname planned to marry as children, following the example of Juri and Haruka who were also brother and sister and married. At one point, Kaname allowed Zero to drink his blood to stave off insanity, preventing Zero from turning into a Level E for the time being, he does this for Yuki's sake and because Zero may be the only one able to kill Rido.

You will have to read chapter 40 but Zero is being locked up for being a threat. something Like that. I can't remember why so I will read it again to let you know

wow! you explain it quite well. I couldn't have said it better myself. But anyway, how did you know that Yuki's parents have another child and it wasn't curent Kaname? I know they said it they have another child, but it was so weid cause of the whole thing with Kaname being Yuki's older brother and yet Kaname said he isn't. Thank you, for explaining the whole thing.

in Chapter 38....Yuuki and Kanames father was talking to Aido about taking the life of their first child. Later in that chapter, Someone asks Kaname why he can't kill Aido and he said. "Because I am the Kurans ancestor and Aido is the one who awakened me from my coffin." and just before his father was killed, he hugged Kaname and stated something like " I'm saying this because I know everything. Even so it doesn't change the fact that you have been our adorable son." so there it more or less stated that he was their son but wasn't really anymore.
