the plot is getting and getting more confuse, why does Kaname have to do something with the council? and what did yuuki intends to do (save zero maybe)? why does the vampire council or something have to do with the monsters in the day class?

I'm also confused about these! But I think that the council were the ones who revived Rido, and the monsters are Rido's followers. Sorry I can't be of much help, it's gotten really confusing >.< But I loved the Shiki X Rima moment in there though XD

I thought the monsters are just the former-human vampires that were attracted by the spell someone from Hunter's society laid, but it doesn't make sense that they'd be something special that Kaname has to do. And Kaname told Aido that he was going somewhere that 'even Aido didn't want to go' and that wouldn't be the woods, as Aido wouldn't care particularly. So, he has something important to do, but I don't know what or where.

I have several questions of my own:

The woman in the forest, dressed up all nicely, who said that the Night Class were the guilty ones: She's the chief of the Hunter society, right? She looked different, and I didn't know why she'd be dressed up (but the former-human vampires are) so I'm confused about her identity.

Who was the person in Rido's arms? Just some random person from the Day Class the vampires did get, or was it the Headmaster - because the hair seemed similar, although I think that's extremely unlikely.

Why was Ichijo lying to Shiki about a strange vampire attacking them? He seemed to be up to something, but I don't get what he was doing 'breaking apart' and why he lied. For that matter, who was the random guy who came into the room after Ichijo left. He seemed to be the strange vampire if anything.

What is the 'mess' that Ruuka has to clean up before nightfall? She can't mean the vampires because they're supposed to attack at nightfall, so is she referring to the Hunters?

And what Ichijo saying about Kaname's safe retreat? I mean, we know he was planning on leaving with Yuuki, but he isn't now, so he's no longer planning a retreat. He's now going off somewhere to do something, and leaving Yuuki and the others to fight.

I'm just really confused about what Ichijo is up to. Because while he is 'good' he'd taken the side of the council, and he was clearly lying to Shiki in the bedroom (he had an evil look on his face) so I don't know what he wants or is trying to say.

I don't think most of my questions can be answered because we really don't have enough information, but that's everything I'm confused about.

I totally agree. This chapter was really confusing so I hope the next chapter answers all our questions.

Yeah this was def a crazy chapter. Lots of things left undone. But I think i have a few insights.

The woman in the woods is the chief of the Hunter Society. She is just always dressed up. The one in Rido's arms I think was a vampire that he ate not the headmaster. I think the strange vampire was a follower of Rido's because he asked shiki if he was Ridos puppet. But Rido got his body back and Shiki is not his puppet anymore. The mess would be the vampires that are coming to the school because of Rido. He is a pure-blood and has most likly called his followers to him now. The school was Kanames safe retreat. I think he is trying to get it back to the way it was for Yuuki's sake. Ichijou was Kaname's friend but in earlier chapters you read that he was just getting close to Kaname because his grandfather wanted him to. His grandfather is using him. So yeah thats what I was thinking..... not sure if thats right but I hope it helps...

That does help. I hadn't thought of the school as Kaname's safe retreat; and I wanted confirmation that 1. the lady in the woods was the Hunter's chief 2. it wasn't the Headmaster Rido was eating.

I guess the vampires in the woods are the ones that Ruuka was referring to having to clean up; and the ones she's saying will attack are the Hunters and Rido. I guess Rido has some higher-up vampires with him? I'm still confused about the groups though. Presumably the Hunter lady has brought humans with her, but maybe not - she could be with the Senate's vampires. (She could be a vampire...)

I dont think she is a vampire but i have a feeling that she is helping the council for some reason...thats just a hunch though. I dont think the headmaster is a vampire but he was a really good vampire hunter in the past. I think he got into some trouble and Kaname's mother helped him out or something. that is why he is helping Kaname so much. Maybe thats why he set up the night class in the first place, so Kaname could keep Yuuki close. Cuz you have to remember Rido really wants her for some reason.

It's possible. I like to imagine he truly believes in the pacifist ideology he spouts, but maybe it's all manipulation to protect Yuuki. He would certainly have plenty of motivation to do so since he owes so much to (and loved?) Juuri.

I wonder how he feels about Yuuki now. He said, "I won't let you have that girl," so I wonder if he still considers her his daughter. And I wonder how Yuuki feels for that matter. She seems to have changed significantly, and to be focussed on her relationship with Kaname only. However, her concern for Yori suggests that she might still love Cross...

I think in chapters to come Yuuki will have some emotional problems with her awakening. I mean she lived as a human for ten yrs. She was really surprised when artimis rejected her. Which I though was funny. It seems like sometimes she goes back to her regular self like when she wanted to make sure Yori was okay and the fact that she put back on her school uniform. I really wanted her to go with kaname though.... oh well

I really wanted her to have some better fighting clothes. I mean, couldn't she have transformed her school uniform into a super-special-awesome-pure-blood-vampiress outfit when she transformed the Artemis rod into a scythe?!

I too think she'll have some adjustment to make when this is all finished. We've discussed this in the past, and I believe she will have to find a way to integrate the two aspects of herself. Maybe this final battle will do it for her. She's taken up her role as school protector again, but is now doing it as a pure-blood vampire.

I know what you mean about the cluelessness she displayed in the chapter though. I mean, wouldn't she realise that - duh - the Artemis rod is going to shock her? After all, she saw it do so to Zero when he used it before. She seemed a little ditsy and weak in general until the very end when she donned her uniform and took up the rod / scythe.

I hope that she doesn't wimp out in the next chapter(s).
