Smile In your opinion, what would the ending of vampire knight be?

I think that this is kind of obvious, but the best ending would be for humans to find out about vampires and be able to live along with them, but i doubt that would happen. That would also cause a major shift in the plot, so I doubt that would happen.

Well I'd like to know everyone's opinion.

edit: I realize that i worded that wrong. Sorry everyone.. What I meant was 'In your opinion, what would the best ending of vampire knight be? '
Sorry again!

A grand battle resulting in Rido's death. An ambiguous reference to ZeroxYuuki and perhaps a few minor character deaths. Nothing too tearjerking though, but not sugarcoated either. It's VK after all. I would like it to be natrual for its story and different from the typical mangas.

I already posted an answer in another thread, but I don't mind repeating...

I think that Yuki will go up against Rido with her newly-transformed Artemis. But just as Kaname said, she is unable to equal Rido's power. At the last minute, Zero appears donning new and impressive vampire skills, and he protects Yuki. Then he makes a Zero-like comment like "Idiot" or something else... Anyway, Yuki is shocked at seeing Zero, but at the same time, relieved that Zero doesn't hate her or something like that. We get to see a glimpse of their "old" selves, by that, I mean the time when they were prefects before this whole mess started.

Meanwhile, Cross and Yagari fight off the hunters, and I'm guessing there's gonna be a one-on-one battle between Cross and the chief-hunter person... The Night Class continues to protect Day class from Rido's swarm of vampires. Kaname, on the other hand, goes to where the members of the Vampire senate have gathered (probably somewhere in the school) and confronts them. Ichijou goes to meet him there and, at first, we are given the impression that they are enemies, but it turns out that Ichijou is still on Kaname's side. I really dunno how that's gonna be resolved, but... anyway... I'll think about it later...

On Yuki and Zero's side, they continue to fight against Rido. As Kaname had intended, it is Zero who lands the killing blow on Rido, but Rido manages to mortally injure him as well. Zero turns to Yuki and asks if she would make good on her promise to kill him. Yuki admits that she can't do it and that she wants Zero to live. She says something that the heroine would typically say like... she's happy living in the academy... she wants to continue living with everyone... with Kaname, Cross, Yori, Zero---everyone! She offers her blood to Zero so that he'll get better. Since humans-turned-vampires need a Pureblood master to watch over them, Yuki says she'll take care of Zero. (Yeah, there's a ZeroYuki moment to make up for the previous KanaYuki. Seriously though, it's a pattern...)

Afterwards, there is a school break to probably repair what was damaged and alter a bit of the day class' memories. Next, we are shown the familiar sight of the Day class crowding the entrance to the Moon Dorm, sneaking a peek at the Night class, and Zero and Yuki both step in their roles as prefects.

My conclusion to the this long-waged love triangle is that... Yuki ends up with no one! What I mean is... if ever she ended up with one of the two boys, it is only implied. We are not given a clear picture of who. The scene might end with Yuki looking at someone (we are not shown who) and says something like... "This is the person most important to me..."

So, yeah... It's up to the viewer's discretion whether it is Kaname or Zero...

wow...i really like your story...^^then none of them wouldnt be hurt, nor Kaname nor Zero...since they wouldnt show whom Yuuki will end up with, we can decide it as we like for ZeroxYuuki fans it would be Zero, but for KanamexYuuki fans - Kaname...=)so everyone would be happy...^^

yup, i really like your theory...=)

Default you know ........

i think yuuki should end up with zero and kaname should die saving them both (but he does come to terms with zero first and dies knowing he did something right!)

Hmm that would be a good ending, too.. and it does fit the 'tragic ending' that the author had said.. but just because either Zero or Kaname dies isn't to say Yuuki will bounce back and take the other one.

Possibilty, though.

Basically, I agree that Yuuki will not end up with either guy. I am just not thinking that the ending will be all that happy.

I can't see Zero staying at the school after his transformation. I think he will go off with Yagari if he lives at the end.

I also can't see Kaname staying at the school either. For him, getting another high-school education is redundant. He is already a well educated and political individual. If he lives, he will leave the school to represent his people.

There will be tearful partings, and the relationship issues will probably remain highly ambiguous.
