Alright all you crazed preteen (I assume) Zero fans.... I'm gonna break down my rational for why he's not the best for Yuuki.

From the very moment he met her, he's only been bent on revenge. People who are consumed with revenge are selfish by nature. Originally he intended to kill himself because he was an icky sticky vampire and he didn't want to be. I can sort of understand his reasoning but I still find that as a large problem. Anyone who's depressed to that degree with their life will never be happy. Even if he ended up with Yuuki he'd eventually freak out or just use Yuuki for her pure blood because even Kaname's blood won't keep him from his hunger forever, Kaname himself said that.

Zero is self centered and in no way like Kyou from Fruits Basket ( I heard someone say that). Don't get me wrong, I don't hate Zero, I just feel like he's got too many issues with himself to be able to love someone else to the fullest. Also, let's not forget that he HATES VAMPIRES. I'm not sure if you remember well or not but Yuuki is a vampire now and always was one to begin with. There are too many moral issues with that relationship to work realistically... but this IS a manga... I'd be disappointed though if it came to that. It would seem half hearted and a copout...

NOW, to debunk those who say Kaname is too perfect or too controlling... let's not forget that every single step he's taken since Yuuki can remember has been to protect her! If that's not true love, I don't know what is! I mean, Kaname has had to hide his true feelings, their true past, and even deal with another man eating from her, and still he continues to only wish Yuuki's happiness. ALSO, FYI THEY ARE NOT REAL BROTHER AND SISTER! Yuuki was adopted by Kaname's parents. She's related, yes, but she's only a cousin. They grew up together, so naturally since she was so young in the beginning she'd call him brother, after all, she doesn't know that they aren't really related.

Bottom line is that Kaname has sacrificed so much for the sake of Yuuki that he deserves to be happy. AT ANY RATE, if Kaname doesn't want Zero to be with Yuuki all he has to do is tell him no... but he's not harmed him for her sake alone. Zero is simply a useful pawn, and I figure he probably will die. He has to deal the final blow after all... Though I wonder if both men will die... leaving poor Yuuki alone.

Anyway... Zero is SOOOOO EEEEEMMMMMOOOOO that it's mind numbing! lol

Yuki wasnt adopted. Kaname and her arent real brother and sister because the real Kaname was killed by Rido (hince why Kaname wants Rido dead) and so Rido put a soul into the real Kanames body and thats who Kaname is now.

Isn't trying to control someone considered a flaw?

Kaname's flaws are all a lot more subtle yet dramatic than Zero's, which gives more depth to the character in my opinion.
Because he is portrayed as a character which appears perfect upon first impression, anything wrong with him is immediately more striking than Zero who initially appears with a lot of character flaws.

I think that they are both hot, but Zero gives this sweet caring love that Kaname doesn't give off. He sort of gives off the big brother controlling feeling that just might kill Zero to keep him away from Yuuki. But I'll be rooting for Zero hope he can make it through, and not become level E.

anywhose .. i actually like zero more.. I'm not sure but i think fans like kaname more than zero but I like zero and yuki because of the past he has that made me so hooked and how much he cares for her.
I'm not really sure about Kaname's history. I know that he saved her ten years ago. but I'm just up to bout chp 30 so I can't say much, about how this manga is going.

This is just my opinon, that I think Zero and Yuki matches more. =]

But I know & understand, that if Kaname ends up with Yuuki, It'll be too easy...
The situation between Zero & Yuuki is a little bit more exiting...
But if Yuuki ends up with Kaname, I think it'll be the best for her...

But what will happen if Zero is a pureblood at all? (or sth like that)
then the two of them (Kaname and Zero) are the same and then Zero could be the better match for Yuuki at all......
