1. When are new chapters released? Vampire Knight is released monthly in Lala Magazine, and scanlations are posted here at the end of the month every month.

The rest of these have been answered in the threads, but are summarized quickly here.

2. Will there be a Season 2 / sequel to the Vampire Knight manga? Yes. Supposedly, the second season will deal with the war between humans and vampires. But I've heard also that it involves the Academy, so it may follow the action of this story. Clarification or certain evidence are welcomed. We're discussing it here.

3. Are Kaname and Yuuki siblings? Kaname's body is that of Yuuki's brother, but the brother's soul was removed and 'Kaname' put in. His soul is that of the ancestor of the Kuran family. So, Kaname is Yuuki's brother in body, but not soul. We're not sure when the brother was taken out and 'Kaname' put in.

4. Who is Rido? Rido is Yuuki's uncle, Haruka and Juuri's brother, Kaname's 'master' (who resurrected him from the grave), Shiki Senri's father, Hio Shizuka's former fiancée (the 'Madly Blooming Princess'), and leader of the forces opposing Kaname and the Night Class. He also wants Yuuki's blood for its special power.

5. What's up with Yuuki? Yuuki is a pureblood vampire, daughter of Kuran Haruka and Juuri, who was sealed by her mother 10 years ago so that she was effectively a human. She lived as a human for 10 years, growing up as the adopted step-daughter of Cross, the Chairman/Headmaster of Cross Academy. Recently, she has been unsealed by Kaname and has now returned to her former status as a pureblood.

6. Zero and Yuuki or Kaname and Yuuki? I can't help you.

7. What is Yuuki's special power? We don't yet know, but it's being discussed in the threads.

8. What sound does Zero make when leaving the Academy? Pokyu pokyu

9. What about Artemis turning into a scythe? We're talking about it here.

10. What's up with Shiki, Rido and Kaname? Shiki is Rido's son by a noble vampire; so he is a noble but not a pureblood. He is also Kaname's cousin since Rido is Haruka and Juuri's brother. Shiki was possessed by Rido recently and came to the Academy with Rido's body. But Rido left Shiki's body and went back into his own when Kaname restored it.

It wasn't shown or told but in MY opinion i think since kaname at that time already owned by Rido i think that his giving Rido some information about yuuki since he cant deny coz he is after all his master since only kaname and their parents knows about yuuki's existence even the senate has no idea about her existance as well....mm.. im not pretty sure though

It wasnt shown too..but it was slowly revealed but not that fully but all i know is that she is powerful and thats the reason why rido is after her

Since we don't have definite answers to these questions, I won't put answers to them above.

1. I think Rido was able to sense Yuuki with his pureblood power, like Yuuki sensed Rido when she awakened and how the other vampires knew that there was another pureblood when Yuuki awakened. Because he is an adult from the Kuran family, his senses were especially powerful and acute. Some others have speculated that Kaname provided him the information because Rido was his master, but I don't think that's the case. I don't think Rido had enough power over Kaname to force him to do that.

2. We don't yet know, but I think it is some particularly potent primal power from her blood. You'll remember the fanged creature with Yuuki's hair that Yuuki had a vision of after drinking Kaname's blood. I think that represented the power in her blood that has now been released and is beginning to awaken.

Others, GIVE TO ME THE ANSWERS! hahaha... I'll try to think of some others today and post them here.

No, that's not a stupid question because I was confused about it for a while too.

This may seem like rambling, but it has a point, i promise. Correct me if I'm wrong, but when vampires first came around, a few humans tried to protect themselves. Somehow, they managed to kill a vampire, so after they killed it, they ate it. Like, not drinking it's blood, but literally eating it. Ew. ANYWAY, Because they ate it, the blood of the vampire messed with their dna or something like that. They then became strong vampire hunters. If a female huntress got pregnant, or a female got pregnant by a hunter, and she had twins in the womb, the fetuses would take on the vampire instincts and they would fight for the right to be born. Usually, if there was originally twins, only one would be born.

BUT, If both twins were born, as was the case with Ichiru and Zero, then they would only have a PIECE of the vampire hunter instincts and "powers", call them what you will. One would be stronger than the other, because the stronger baby was the only one who was supposed to be born. Somehow Ichiru got out of there alive, so he lived. But he was always weak; the only reason for his existance was because he still had the missing piece that zero needed. Over the years, they grew up together, Zero always protective of Ichiru, even right after Hiou Shizuka had bitten him. He told Ichiru to run away before she got him too, but Hiou convinced Ichiru that she would make him stronger. And she kept her promise...by letting ichiru drink her blood. So, Ichiru and Zero meet up again. Kaname kills Hiou. Ichiru drinks the rest of her blood when he finds her, so Zero can't. The only way for Zero to completely avoid becoming a Level E is to drink his maker's blood, aka the woman who bit him. Well, Ichiru made it so he can't do that. Dang it. Well, soon Zero is put in a dungeon sort of thing for his own protection. Ichiru finds zero, blood all over Ichiru's side, and shoots zero. That makes zero weak. We find out that the reason Ichiru is all bloody is because he tried to kill Rido but Rido slashed open Ichiru's side, and he is bleeding to death. The only way for Zero to get the missing piece is for him to essentially finish off his brother. Ichiru is going to die anyway, so he convinces Zero to drink the rest of his blood. Thus, Zero get the last piece, and since he also drank Yuuki's newly pure blood, Kaname's blood, Hiou Shizuka's blood(through Kaname and Ichiru), and has gotten the last piece of being a vampire hunter from his brother, he is now the strongest vampire hunter ever. Do I make sense?

Of course you make sense!! yeah i just wasn't clear about that leyend of the twins of the vampire hunters, and also Kaname mentioned that Zero is now a second class vampire, so hes not only a "high class" vampire but a hunter too, how interesting.

yea. hiou shizuka had turned him into a vampire but its just being delayed a bit longer at the moment.

Zero should be totally clear of ever turning into a Level E because he drank _a lot_ of Yuuki's blood before all of this went down, and drank Kaname's blood, who had in turn already drank Shizuka's blood. So, Zero has the blood of three purebloods, and a lot of one (Yuuki) in him, and I don't think he'll ever need blood again.

@hello world: You're close, but I don't think quite there.

Long long ago, human Hunters wanted supernatural power to fight vampires, so they captured a vampire - either pureblood or Aristocrat - and drank his blood, and life and power in it. I know they didn't actually physically 'eat' him because drinking most of a vampire's blood so that one absorbs his/her powers has been referred to 'eating' him/her in the manga. I'm pretty sure the terminology was used with Kaname and Shizuka, was in reference to what Rido wants to do to Yuuki, I think Ichiru to Zero, and indirectly when Yuuki says, "The vampire side 'ate' the human in me."

By eating the life-force of the vampire by drinking his blood, the Hunter gained the vampire's powers. From the way Rido was talking about it to Ichijo, I got the impression that it was ONLY the Kuryuu family that had done this, and that is why they were the pre-eminent family of Hunters. As a consequence of 'eating' a vampire (like Kaname will have to face from eating Shizuka), they were cursed: If twins are conceived in the womb, they will fight one another and one will consume the other.

In Zero and Ichiru's case, Zero didn't munch up Ichiru when he had the chance and both were born. However, Zero had taken Ichiru's vital force unintentionally in the womb. So, Ichiru was weak and close to dying. Shizuka came to Ichiru then, telling him that she would make him strong by giving him her blood. She did, and Ichiru was able to live on his own. Then Rido had her lover's name put onto the list of dangerous vampires, the Kuryuu family killed him, and Shizuka went insane. She killed all of the Kuryuu family save Ichiru who was already her liege and Zero who she drained of much of his blood, but left alive to slowly turn into a vampire. (If you don't remember, the way humans are turned into vampires is by having their blood drank by a pure-blood.)

Zero did not need to drink his maker's blood to avoid turning into a Level E. He just had to drink enough of a pure-blood's blood that the shadows of insanity would be banished forever. And I think he'll be set now, as I indicated above.

Ichiru had found out that Rido was the one who had Shizuka's lover put onto the dangerous vampire list and was thus the one responsible for the death of his entire family and his brother being transformed into a vampire. So, he stabbed Rido when Rido was revived by Kaname. Then Rido slashed him fatally in the side and Ichiru went to Zero.

Ichiru shot Zero to make him be filled with blood-lust, and then presented himself to Zero, because by having Zero 'eat' him (drink the rest of his blood and life), Zero would make himself the complete vampire Hunter, fully inheriting the power of his genes by retrieving the last little fragment from Ichiru.

So, now Zero has the completed power of the Hunter family, lots of Yuuki's blood with pure-blood power, and some of Kaname's blood with Shizuka's power within it.

I think that's everything...
