i dont get it... since shiki gave his body to rido and it said he was his father so does that mean shiki is part of the kuran family and is a pureblood? also about kaname.. i dont get how he is a brother to yuuki in body but not soul!!?!? and why do vampires in the kuran family, marry their siblings... and y did yuuki kiss her own brother??

I just reread the series(I highly recommend that...) so I think I understand.
Yes, Shiki [unwillingly] gave his body to Rido, who is his father. But since Shiki's mother was not a pure blood, Shiki is not. Rido is very old, however, and is one of the older Kuran ancestors.
Kaname is actually an ancient Kuran ancestor himself, and it is still debatable whether he took over the body of Yuuki's actual brother(the true Kaname) when he was young, or whether he disposed of the real, very young Kaname and assumed his identity in body and soul. I think the former is more likely, however, as his parents might have noticed...
Whatever exactly happened, rido was the one to revive "Kaname"(the ancestor) and that is why "Kaname" can not kill Rido. He chopped him up 10 years ago when he was weak from fighting Kaname and Yuuki's parents, but he could not kill him. And so he instructed Cross to keep watch over his memory-less sister(thanks to the mom, who wanted her to have no part in the Kuran/Council wars and sealed her blood) and "kaname" waited, until he found the perfect tool in Zero.
Zero now has the blood of three purebloods in him(kaname, shizuka(who's blood was in Kaname), and yuuki) and the blood of a hunter, and now the blood of his twin, who practically forced himself on him so that Zero could have all the strength of a single hunter heir. So Zero's kick-ass, and guilted into doing Kaname's bidding. Kaname orders him to kill Rido, because he cannot.
On an important side note, for those of you that didn't understand the reasons behind this semi-war starting, here ya go:
The Kuran family assumed the role as the ruling royal family of all vampires, centuries ago. But after a while, they realized that they didn't think it wise for one family to have so much power, and they created the council.
MANY years later, some families began to resent the council, kaname and Yuuki's parents included; they hid Yuuki so that she would not be used by the council like so many others. Rido(possibly one of the ones who created the coucil in the first place, who knows?) was strongly for the council, and against anyone who was against it. He revived "kaname" perhaps because he thought another ancestor would agree with him, perhaps because he wanted a spy in the house of Kuran... But obviously "kaname" did not agree, and when Rido attaked their house, he tore Rido apart.
So now the vampire world stands on the verge of war, and everyone must decide if they will support the great, powerful, and feared clan of Kuran, and go against the council, or whether they will remain loyel to the council, like Ichijou is doing.
so... on another side note, who else is convinced that Cross(the headmaster) is a vampire in disguise?

bwhahah that makes so much sense now... arigato!!! and in the anime it kind of gave evrybody a hint that yuuki was a vampire but not a pureblood cuz the ending fur VK in the anime, at the end of the ending song, it shows yuuki's eyes glowing the colour of blood... red! But kaname had the same name as his ancestor am i right? the one who was yuuki's brother?
