Now I'm thinking that Kaname will die as well, or maybe will have his life shortened at the end. Rido revived ancestor Kaname with his blood, soooo if Rido dies..

It is fun to speculate.

The only character who I don't want to die is Kaien Cross. He's my favorite! I love how he dotes over Yuuki like she is his real daughter. (He remind me of Abel Nightroad a little bit...)

I am pretty sure that Yuuki will be alive at the end, but I think the ending will be sad and very Japanese.

This is how I think it will play out:

Right now (chap. 38) Zero is refusing even to LOOK at Yuuki. Zero has hunted vampires all his life. Besides, his level E status will make him insane eventually, despite the fact that he has taken blood from purebloods. I think he will save Yuuki's life in the end, but will probably die in the process. Yuuki will realize that she loves him more than just a brother, but it will be too late. Yuuki and Kaname, with the help of Kaien Cross (the headmaster) will continue on to try to build peaceful relations between humans and vampires.

I doubt there will be a romantic conclusion between Yuuki and Kaname, more like an open ended possibility. Yuuki will be in grief over Zero and resolving to be a strong leader for her people. At least that is how I see it ending by reading all the clues we have been given so far, along with the statements from the mangaka about this being a "tragic" love story.

I think Zero will die, but Yuuki will tell him that she loves him at the end so he will die happy.

i SOOO agree, i want Kaname X Yuki, but you can kinda already can see that it's probably going to be yuki and zero.. just cuz... Which i dislike, i rather have Kaname X Yuki... i really have my fingers crossed for kaname and yuki.... it would be SOOOOO awesome!?!?! i can just imagine, yuki and kaname's kid running up to zero and calling him uncle etc. sooo kawaiii!?!??!

I like the idea of Zero dying tragically in the end saving Yuuki, and think it is entirely possible, although I don't think Yuuki will profess love for Zero. She has always loved Kaname, and loved him when she was a vampire; and has never loved Zero more than a friend and almost brother. She was quite surprised and disturbed when she found out that Zero loved her romantically.

I sincerely hope that there is a romantic conclusion between Yuuki and Kaname. I'd be very annoyed if they don't get married (with future baby-making implied). I also think such a satisfying ending is extremely likely, despite the "tragic" nature of the manga, and the Japanese quality. The thing is, this is a shoujo, and many shoujo have happy endings and satisfying resolutions, even though there are some that are extremely tragic. (Vampire Game anyone? Although, that one still had an ultimately happy ending.) Also, this manga is really fluffy and geared for a younger shoujo audience, so I don't think they'll have a wholly tragic ending.

I don't see any reason for Kaname's life to be shortened by the death of Rido. Rido does have power over Kaname because he brought Kaname back, but I don't think he is in any supporting Kaname's life. You can consider it in comparison to Ichiru and the Madly Blooming Princess - his life was lengthened by her strength, but he became physically independent (and certainly won't die early because of her death). Zero too was made into a vampire by her, and remained under her power until she died, and is now unaffected (physically) by her death.

I like speculating too... ^_^

I think that Yuuki will definitely end up with Kaname, because she's really connected to him and I dont mean in brotherly way. But at the same time I feel like something bad will happen to Kaname but I still believe that it'll be Kaname and Yuuki in the end. Even though I have this annoying feeling that it might go the other way, but I have faith in Kaname and Yuuki's relationship!
