I appologize first of to the ZeroXYuuki fans and just plain ol' Zero fans as my next statement will be a little (if not a lot) depressing for you.

At the minute from what I've read in the manga I can honestly see KanaXYuuki happening stead of ZeroXYuuki due to Zero killing himself, think about it, he hates vampires. He's a vampire, secondly look at what he has become, there's no way I can see Zero wanting to carry on his life like that. This is the scene I imagine happening nearish the end after everything is over (providing Zero doesn't kill Kana)
Zero half smiling asking Kana to look after and protect Yuuki and then leaving to kill himself... Yuuki crying and wanting to go after him (that or she'd be unconsious in Kaname's arms).

That's just what I can imagine will happen, it's prolly way off ~Kinda hopes she's wrong~ But at the same time it sounds likely.

I still say fifty fifty. I agree that it seems more like KanaYuuki at this point, but probability wise, I still say it's half and half. We never know what can happen. But I don't think Hino-sensei would create a character only to have him consumed by hatred and extinguish himself because of that. What kind of moral message is that sending to us readers? Zero wasn't established as a villian to begin with, so it's highly unlikely he won't get over his hate imo.

it's still to early to tell, cuz there will be second part of manga, the first one will soon end now that Yuuki's awakened/back & Rido dead & i heard that second will be about vampire-hunter war or something....cant wait for it....& i want Yuuki to be with Kaname...

I still say fifty fifty for both Kanaki and Zeki pairings. But here is what I think about each characters

Zero, He is a tragic character due to his past. Having his family killed by a pure blood vampire and having his twin hated him. He loved Yuki, the girl who mistaken his love for brother kind of love/friendship. And the worst of all, he was turned into something he hated the most. And now it seems like he had a huge death flag haning above his head and many people predict that he would die soon. But I'm thinking the opposite. I think he is a type of character that would get his happily ever after at the end but he had to suffer a lot before that.

Kaname, He doesn't seem so tragic to me, although he had a sad past, but comparing to Zero, I still say he is better. He had the position/power that everyone feared, he had loyalty from his friends and Yuki, the girl he loved. But he still doesn't escape the death flag in my opinion, even though it seems like he is winning everything, but this is only half of the manga. I still see Kaname sacrificed himself for Yuki and her happiness.

Yuki, Her personalities is okay to me. But she is a grand prize in this love traingle. If soemone was supposed to die in the manga, she could be that person because she is the only person that is important for both guys, but I don't think she would. Instead, I think Yuki could end up being sad because she somehow had to choose between Kaname and Zero, and no matter who she chose, she would still be sad because the other person was so important to her as well.

Kanaki or Zeki??? Up to Hino-sensei... I don't care at this point.

Well I personally think that it is going to end very tragic as most people are suggesting... which this may sound extremely cruel.. but i am slightly hoping for a tragic ending other wise i don't think it would be a complete and satisfying ending, it would be wounderful if it was a happy one but how things are since the beginning of the manga there is no way to make it a satisfyingly happy ending because even if miracuasly Yuuki, Zero and Kanami all survived the area would be completly chaotic from the fighting and alot of the vamp people were just killed off by kanami so i don't know how this could lead to a happy ending. But of course this is my random babble and it could be the complete opposite I am just making an assomption of what I am thinking.. =P

This is how I think it will play out:

Right now (chap. 38) Zero is refusing even to LOOK at Yuuki. Zero has hunted vampires all his life. Besides, his level E status will make him insane eventually, despite the fact that he has taken blood from purebloods. I think he will save Yuuki's life in the end, but will probably die in the process. Yuuki will realize that she loves him more than just a brother, but it will be too late. Yuuki and Kaname, with the help of Kaien Cross (the headmaster) will continue on to try to build peaceful relations between humans and vampires.

I doubt there will be a romantic conclusion between Yuuki and Kaname, more like an open ended possibility. Yuuki will be in grief over Zero and resolving to be a strong leader for her people. At least that is how I see it ending by reading all the clues we have been given so far, along with the statements from the mangaka about this being a "tragic" love story.

I think Zero will die, but Yuuki will tell him that she loves him at the end so he will die happy.
