personally, I like Kaname Yuuki pair,.... they just look so good together.... well, for me that is,....... i also like Kaname very much,........

For me it has to be ZeroXYuuki because i think they just go. I used not be sure between zero and kaname because they both seemed really kind but then i started seeing the real kaname and it put me off him, but i still like him just not as much any more.
I find him too manipulative for me where as zero isn't hes honest, and he doesn't beat around the bush and i find that really attractive.


Oh and to all kanamexyuuki stop getting so angry because there are people who support zeroxyuuki your really getting on my nerves, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

i support Kain and Ruka because those two need to realize they're perfect for each other! I didn't vote for Zero x Yuuki or Kaname x Yuuki because if Yuuki ends up with one of these two, the other one is MINE!! If u steal him away from me i will be very very very mad... kidding! i'm nice. oh... BTW i totally support Rima and Shiki too! those two are so matching!! Rido, get out of Shiki's body NOW so he and Rima can live happily ever after. the only one i don't support is Kaname with Ruka, Ruka belongs to Kain and nobody else!

I'm so glad to see someone giving definitive reasons for disliking Kaname and wanting Zero and Yuuki to be together! I support Kaname and Yuuki, but also have problems with Kaname's underlying personality, and that is certainly a valid reason for supporting Zero and Yuuki. (And the reasons you give for liking Zero are why I like him too.)

Kaname has bothered me since he was cruel to Zero, since I like Zero a lot and his behavior was horrible. And now that we've found out Kaname manipulates everything from behind the scenes, I don't like it. His pureblood arrogance is certainly off-putting. Although you do have to grant him that he has been fighting against the Senate and Rido's surreptitious supporters for years, and he's had to deal with the fact that his love hasn't known who he truly is for 10 years.

Anyway, yay for you! ^_^

kaname and yuuki. Why? that's because even if kaname may be manipulative and controls things behind the scenes, I would like to say that in their cutthroat world of vampires moving one step ahead and plotting schemes would mean life and death. Remember that kaname is a pureblood and purebloods are valued and 'protected' by the council, many seek to control them and use them to their advantage. So if this is the case, then in my opinion a scheming kaname is a protective Kaname, he is protecting Yuuki from anyone who wants to use her. He is only countering whatever plans the council might undergo, and acting appropriately to the situation.
I don't blame him for all the things he has done. Yuuki should be thankful that she has been shielded by kaname against harm, giving her protection though many might mistake it as something close to someone 'taking care of a pet'. It's not.

Ah, true enough. I hadn't thought about it that way, and it smooths over my dissatisfaction with Kaname's character. I knew he was good at heart! ^_~

I guess his scornful attitude is a result of experience; he's become jaded with all of the politicking and manipulation of the Senate and other vampires that he doesn't have any patience for their shenanigans.

I certainly know that Kaname doesn't view Yuuki as a pet. She's his "most precious girl" and he's always loved her and done the best for her (and she was really ignorant not to have realised that when she was 'human', but I guess that's just shoujo for you), and all the while he was waiting for the day when it would be proper to make her remember her true nature. Or do you think he was hoping he would never have to turn her back into a vampire?

P.S. Have I seen you on su_chan's journal? Your username seems familiar, and I don't think from MangaFox alone.

You're correct about Shiki. I hadn't even thought about it, but his dad is a pureblood and mom an aristocrat, so status-wise he is just below Kaname. Do we know for sure that his mom is just a noble? I think they would have made it more clear if his mom were a pureblood... Also, if Rido is his father, and presumably he was married to Shiki's mother at one point, he's had two women because he was engaged to Shisuka Hio at one point - I guess way before Shiki's mom...

I can't remember Ichijo Takuma's parentage (if we've been told) but I think he's of higher status than Shiki because he is the successor to the Ichijo rulership of the Senate. I have much love for Takuma too.

Yuuki is dense. and most shoujo female lead are dense. normal.

kaname did apologize to yuuki though, was it in Chapter 37? He said "I'm sorry for taking you back into this bloody curse." maybe he did not really want Yuuki to become a 'blood sucking monster' like him. tsk. I'm confused.

I'm quite confused about what Kaname wants also.

He apologises for bringing Yuuki back into the struggle, as you indicate, and I know that he wants to keep her safe, and so he seemingly wouldn't want to make her aware of her true vampire nature. Further, he would want to keep her from whatever primal power that vision Yuuki had of the fanged creature (herself) was.

However, when Juuri was about to seal Yuuki, Haruka said to her, "Don't tell Kaname because he'll be angry." And I know that Kaname has wanted to take Yuuki as his companion, and would want her to be his pure-blood bride, because I don't think he would have been content to just have her as her sealed 'human' self (especially since he was talking about 'making her into a vampire' before all of this drama started).

Also, at this point, Kaname wants to have a final confrontation with Rido and kill him for real this time. And he wants Yuuki at his side (although not literally during the fight) and to change the world of the vampires after killing the Senate's shadow leader (Rido).

So, I think he has mixed motivations. He wants her to be the Kuran pure-blood princess, who she truly is, and to have her by his side for eternity, but he also wants to keep her safe. I think he's realised now that he can no longer keep her safe as a human, and that she must take her proper place in the upcoming drama, no matter how dangerous it will be.
