i'm so mad i hope ichiru dies now, i hate him more than anyone in this whole manga. and poor Zero, even if he lives after being shot through the heart (being optimistic), he's never gunna see Yuki again. IT'S SO SAD!!!!

I'm confident that Zero won't be dead. The mangaka isn't going to kill him off right after Kaname told him of his importance.

Also, I'm sure that Zero will see Yuuki again. I have a strong feeling that Kaname won't get to leave the academy with Yuuki since the final battle is about to take place and it wouldn't be convenient plot-wise to have them away from the main action. Regardless, however, of whether or not they succeed in leaving now, Zero will see Yuuki again somehow.

I love Ichiru. It's just too bad he shot Zero. Poor Zero. Oh well. As long as Ichiru still lives, the world will continue being happy, because Ichiru is the best.

Well, Ichiru has already demonstrated that he is bad, and we just saw him bow to Rido when he awakened. So, we know he is serving the wrong side, and he must know Zero's importance (and I bet he was listening to Kaname and found out that Zero is even more important than he knew before). Knowing Ichiru, I'd say he came to shoot Zero on his own.

well i wont say that i am totally shocked, ok, well i will but who would have guessed. what a twisted plot, it raises some questions about the future: say does yuukie marry her brother or does she go for the painful, confused soul that is zero? and is yuukie the true heir to the vampire throne... and is both the elders and vampire hunter counsels corrupt? and why was she hidden away and not kuran as well? and what is truely the deal with zeros twin? it seems the dream of vampires and humans living together in peace is never meant to be... not because they can't but because there are just too many people playing for power. but the mangaka sure gives u hope for yuukie and zero pairing even though yuukie claimed she loved kuran. just a point: it was zero that received yuukies homemade valentine chocolates and it was zero who was allowed to feed off of yuukie freely. and it is zero she turns to for comfort and courage. i personally waver back and forth between the two what one loves her more what one does she love more. could it be the love for kuran is that of an idol and not as a true person and could the love of zero just be because he is there day in and day out.

I hope Yuuki doesn't leave Kaname by himself, as he feared. And I hope the dream of peaceful co-existance between vampires and humans can be realised. I think once Rido is disposed of, the corrupt Hunter lady deposed, and the Senate put in line it will succeed.

For the points about Yuuki and Zero: Early in the story when Yuuki thought she was a human and the situation was different, Yuuki said something like, "Vampires and humans can never be together because they are too different". But as the narrative went on, she saw that she loved Kaname too deeply to let him go. Then, he began courting her and was talking about turning her into a vampire; and she went along with it, and was trying to decide whether or not she would agree with it. But then all this came up and Kaname broke her seal, so the situation is completely different. The view you presented is based on the situation earlier in the plot, and things have changed completely since then.

I don't want to go on, but those are just a few of the details of the continually developing situation.
