okay... we're officially 39 chapters into the story... and with the recent shocking chapters... it has left me wondering about some stuff ... so here goes.

1. The mystery between the Kiryuu twins... as we heard Kaname say in chapter 39 "first you unconsciously took your twin's (Ichiru) power of breaking the other fragment, you were born with the excellent lineage of a hunter by taking that power." so i'm wondering if Ichiru knows about this fact, the fact that Zero took his power as a vampire hunter... and this explains why Zero was always the better hunter and Ichiru was always left in the dark. If ichiru knows about this, then i'm guessing that's why he hates zero so much, for taking away his original power as a hunter.

2. What's gonna happen to Takuma (Ichijo)? Since Rido already woke up, does Ichijo's grandfather still want him to assist Rido? Especially in the upcoming bloody battle... i hope Ichijo is on Kaname's side and not Rido's side. I wonder what he's gonna do himself?

3. okay, this is soooo off topic and is really just a free- discussing kinda topic but, what are ur favourite and most memorable lines in VK?
Personally, i thin kmy favs are:
1. "I love you, Yuuki, become my lover." -Kaname. i nearly fell off my chair while reading that part.
2. "It was because Yuuki was there, that i was able to live on." -Zero. i have this line on my signature... i just think it is really sweet of zero to say that
3."if i can only cry about something in my heart, it might as well be a sin. -Yuuki. i don't know why i like this line, but i feel like when Yuuki said this, it kinda revealed a different side to her, a much more evil and confident side, so yeah.

1. Ichiru does know, and that was a rift between the two brothers the entire time they grew up until their parents were killed, and now they've been severed from one another entirely. Ichiru was very weak and had difficulty just living daily because Zero had unconsciously taken all of the power. It wasn't until Shizuka Hio let him drink her blood that he finally gained strength. I think the strength she lent him was permanent, so that he will remain fairly strong despite not having it anymore. (Am I remembering correctly that he's a vampire now? Because then his strength would most certainly be permanent.) Ichiru was also involved in the death of their parents. I don't remember if he directly wished it or just went along with Shisuka who wanted to kill them over her lover anyway.

2. I am hoping that Takuma will go back to Kaname's side and fight against Rido, but I fear that he'll do nothing in the upcoming fight (since I don't think he'd actually fight against Kaname). However, when Kaname took Yuuki away to break her seal, Ichijo was thinking about him because Rido was inquiring and he said, "I have to stop looking for you, Kaname." I'm not sure precisely what that means, but maybe Takuma has accepted the legacy of his grandfather, and the position he is slated to inherit in the Senate. I still think he's a good guy, but he's under a lot of pressure from his family, and he may end up taking the wrong side out of weakness. (I don't think he will; I think he'll turn on Rido and fight alongside Kaname. ^_^)

3. I'm not sure what my favourite lines are. I'll have to see if I can think of any (or find them again, since I'm slowly rereading the series).

loved reading you all's posts. i have so many favorite lines from this manga. My top one i can't quote exactly but its where Yuuki tells Zero "I don't mind being betrayed by him" (meaning kaname). Now i want to re read it again and get all my favs out hehe...

Personally, I believe that line was the best, primarily because of all those 'kaname-bashing' threads out there. That line explains everything, plain and simple. Kaname did what he has done and manipulated everyone who had let themselves be manipulated, all because of our darling Yuuki. poor Kaname.

That is so nice to know..Now I know how it feels to be the part of a dying minority! (tsk, if only kaname's not a freaking genius in plotting crimes against humanity then he would still have had his supporters. hmp.)
