why exactly is watanuki traveling back and forth between dreams and reality and stuff so crazily? like you know how he's walking and he can't control it and he walks into a dream then comes back out.

Default The baloon and his wish

I think it's because of the baloon he got, the one about Doumeki's dream. And because of his wish too. He gave up almost all his memories, and in TRC I got the impression that memories are your heart. I think that he kinda gave in return for his wish a part of his life, so in order to recover from that he always fainted, and got sleepy (do you remember Sakura in the beginning of TRC? She was always sleepy.). And because he had that baloon, he kept dreaming with Doumeki's grandfather. What was really good, because he needed Doumeki's grandpa help and Yuuko's help too ^^-. That is my guess...

Well since this is "I don't get it" fourm I got one...

I don't get... (xD) why Watanuki looks so young and standing next to Yuuko in TRC(192)? Didn't he meet her when he was like 17?

I think that that Yuuko in chapter 192 is from the future. What I can't say for sure is, how Shaoran* choice will change Watanuki's life.... Because, although I think Watanuki is from the past, I'm not quite sure about that anymore....

I don't think Watanuki was actually standing next to her; I think he was shown in the panel next to her as a reference to her words, so that we would know who she was talking about. Then again, there is a very, very likely chance that Watanuki has met Yuuko before we saw. I think he gave up his memories long before we saw him meet Yuuko, which is why he has never said his parents names.
I think, when he was younger, he might have known Syaoran somehow, and maybe even contributed to sending him off to Clow to meet Sakura. The price: his memories.
Not sure, though. Still a lot that needs to be explained.

I agree here. There's a cut in between both of them if you look. In some cases, it may seem that he's standing next to her while looking at her, but he's probably not there next to Yuuko at that moment.

but there's still that probablitiy, i agree again.

Agh! Updaaate sooon! I must find out! >_< I'm dyin' here! X_x

About the earlier question, as to why Watanuki is always travelling between dreams and realities- when you pay attention you notice that he does continue this even after he has offered his last balloon to Kohane-chan, so it is highly unlikely that his ability to cross worlds is sorely linked to the baloons.

I believe, and am pretty sure that I am wrong xD, that Watanuki dreamwalks, or dreamsees. I can imagine that Watanuki is an untrained dreamseer and is supposed to end F.W.Reed's dream (Yuuko is often portrayed saying, that the dream has to end). Watanuki is often being descibed as special, by numerous magical beings, and his eye seemed to be almost a treasure....

Clamp is just too hard to figure out anymore, so I just take everything at face value. They aren't really good at making things clear sometimes about how such and such thing occurred or came about. Clamp is vague and confusing, but that's what makes them Clamp.

I mean, taken at face value, Cardcaptor Sakura doesn't seem so complicated. You'd think it was just another magic girl story. But then you have the whole split soul thing, the going back in time and meeting Clow Reed thing and how he seems to predict almost everything accurately, and then the whole reason why Eriol was trying to attack Sakura to transform the cards when he could have probably ruled them just as well. Then you have some weird side story about how Sakura and Tomoyo are actually related as 2nd cousins (like that matters)! Then you have shonen-ai, as well as teacher-student love, so there's a lot going on.
