It is notable that there are differences between the manga and anime, particularly how and when the series ended. In the anime, Yusuke kept true to his word and returned three years later. In the manga, he was only gone for a year and a half.

Plus, the anime closed with the beach scene and a kissing scene that looked like a page from the Frank Sinatra movie "From Here To Eternity." The manga also ended at the beach, but before that, other things happened, such as Yusuke opening a ramen stand of his own. Koenma ousting his father Enma, and one final case for the main protagonists concerning Reikai and a bomb. Also, Keiko and Yusuke never kissed in the manga, aside from that one time needed to bring Yusuke back to life.

@ hyrulehero: That spirit energy in your signature is from Yu Yu Hakusho, right? Then, shouldn't it be "reiki"?

You'r welcome.

I think you'll find the manga quite enjoyable. But there are also instances where I like the anime better. As I recall, it was during the Demon World Tournament that Togashi was already losing interest with YYH and wanted to end it, but Shonen Jump wanted it to continue since it was bringing in a lot of sales since Dragon Ball. So there came a point wherein the quality of the story (and art) suffered a bit.

For one thing, Kurama's and Hiei's matches were never shown, only mentioned. And Shigure didn't die in the manga.

You also can't help but notice that there were some details of the story that were probably add-ons. Like Yukina being Hiei's sister and twin, or that Hiei and Kurama knew each other for a year prior to the series.

Well, you'll eventually get what I'm saying...

No, the manga is already complete. The scanlation isn't complete. I've already seen the final volume (although it's in Japanese). You can also check wikipedia for the complete manga details (i.e. chapter and volume numbers).
