But that all changes when she meets a water fairy named Kaikaku and a mermaid named Maika on an unpopular saltwater beach. Nanami begs them to transform her into a fairy or mermaid but they find her to be a pest and tell her the honest truth: it's impossible. However, Nanami is determined to become a fairy or mermaid and befriend Kaikaku and Maika.

What do you think? Its it creative? Is it corny? Does it remind you of another manga? Speak your mind, and flam if you must!

I think it's a typical story too, but if you just write things down that you really want in the story and then just begin writing you'll see that it will be easier. As for me with poems, I usually have a few lines in my head that I want down on paper, so I start writing and then the poem will unfold itself So just start writing and most of the time the story will be more creative than when you think it through.

Dear, I think your story line is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy too corny...What are you trying to make? A new-age fairy-tale? Even if your whole story is good, nobody will like it because of the motif. You said it would take you a LONG time to draw, right kid? Then I presume that LONG time of yours maybe, fortunately, make you think out something better than that.

Yes, I know, I left the MangaFox forum, but I just wanted to say this.

I quit writing manga, but I will come back to it if Ryuushii and holabunny (and maybe Karasu_Nei) think that what I added to the plot is a big imvrovment. Yes, I decided to add to the plot, and now it has more of a magical girl-ish theme. So here are the changes: I said "Sennyo Nanami is an elemenrty school girl who thinks the world is boring becuase everything is so... realistic". I now realize that it would make more sense if I said "Sennyo Nanami spends lots of time wishing for... magic." Also, instead of bugging Kaikaku and Maika throught almost the whole series and getting turned into a permanent half fairy half mermaid at the end (which was what I was planning to happen at first), this happens: Kaikaku axadently tells Nanami that the water fairy princess has the ability to transform humans into fairies, so Nanami promises to leave them alone for a week if they contact the water fairy princess (whose name is Mizu) and turn her into a fairy or mermaid (although she doesn't keep this promise). So Kaikaku casts a spell to summon Mizu, and truns Nanami into a water fairy. To turn into a fairy and back into a human, Nanami has to ask Mizu to cast a spell on her. The reason Mizu agreed to turn her into a fairy is because the water fairies "need as much help as they can get". Mizu explains to Nanami what they need help with (but I haven't quite decied what it is yet lol) and she obviously agrees. So that's how the storie starts. I would say more, but I'm not sure how the it's going to turn out yet (and it would be a "spoiler" anyway). I will probally replace Maika with another fairy because mermaids don't really have a big roll (at all) in this manga.

And here's some info on water fairies in my manga: They are all femail and they live forever, unless they are hurt very, very badly. They wear clothes in varying colours and ballet shoes. The reason they wear ballet shoes is to dance around on water, which purifys it and gives health to all the living things in it. They can do other water-realted spells with their wands, which look like a black stick with a star on the end with the same colour as their clothes. The only water fairy that can do non-water-related spells is Mizu-sama, the princess. Instead of a regular wand, she has a staff with a rain drop on the end. Water fairies control when it rains. The more water fairies living in an area, the more it rains. They usually live under water (when they enter water, the legs are replaced with a mermad-like tail). Other fairies that aren't water fairies have simaler powers and abilities that are based on their own element.
