that is really sad im sure that naruto is not to blame. its the parents fault it must have taken the kids a long time to bury the guy that died, and during that time were are the parent. it was the parents fault they should have been watching the children like every 5 minutes or something. and i can't believe they spelled naruto wrong i mean who spell naruto , narutu?

Ya gotta think how Cartoon Network dummies down this stuff (I'm sure due to censorship). I remember the old Gundam Wing episodes....in the ones aired in the afternoon, the word "destroy" replaced the word "Kill"...so Heero would tell Relena "I will destroy you" instead of "I will kill you." Destroy doesn't have as horrible connotation: you can destroy someone's reputation, or their life (like the way Itachi destroyed Sasuke's life). But the word "kill" means to take the life of someone.

The censors also change blood to green instead of red. 4Kids is FAMOUS for cutting out anything that might be considered "violent"... apparently the use of the word "kill" and the sight of red blood triggers violent rages in American Youth and we all go shoot up schools and churches, and malls.

Ironically enough, I think kids get the idea that what they see on TV is real from TV itself. The Toddler Shows that Disney, CN, and Nick air all have characters that look at the TV and say to the camera, "Can you see where Blue is?" And the kids shout back to the TV, which can't hear them...and then the TV responds to them, "Right! Blue is behind the couch!" And parents don't bother to teach their kids the difference, anymore than they watch their kids or know what their kids are up to. I never understood how a teen-ager could stockpile weapons and his parents be totally unaware of it. Doesn't his mom ever go into his room to put his clothes away? Or if he is out of sight, is that just fine with Mom and Dad? Toys encourage more realistic play. It used to be you got the action figure and had to use an empty paper towel roll to be the tree....now the action figure comes with the tree so you can "do" the substitution jutsu. Apparently kids aren't given credit for an imagination. Even the Indiana Jones Toy Bull Whip makes the "crack" sound (guess they think kids are too lazy or too stupid to make that sound with their own voices) and the Zabuza sword has "action sounds" as well.

It is sad to hear of a child's death. I am sure the mother will try to shift blame on anyone but herself....Naruto, CN for airing Naruto, the sandbox for not having a warning label on it (warning: burial in sand could result in death).....we are, after all, a society that refuses to accept responsibility for anything...and will gladly blame someone else if we think we can sue and get quick money out of it.

Video games, action shows/movies, songs...these things do not make kids violent. Lack of parenting is really the start of it all....

It's the parents fault. They should teach their kids the difference between right and wrong and real and fake. The parents have no right to blame t.v. shows they let their children watch.

I know this is completely off topic but I'm in a mood!! 4kids should burn in hell for destroying such wonderful shows and the reputation of anime. Thank you!

Oh, yea and those stories are sad! I kinda feel bad for the kid's friends who buried him in the sand!

OMG I read one where this dude blamed my Chemical Romance for teen suicide and anorexia and the dangerous "emo" culture. . . .

Please don't believe everything you read- some journalists are complete sensationalists! -_-

Thats sad to hear. But i think the blame is on parents cause they cant make their children realise the difference between the reel and real life.Same as that some 8-10 kids while playing jumped off from their roof with the anticipation that their superhero would come and save them mid -air.Now how do you take that?

......... that is scary.... first of all how big of a sand box do u need? i mean y would u need to create a sandbox and holds pounds of weight that can kill u? plus really that is really really REALLY STUPID (kids really do stupid things huh)..... i mean u should never get to that point of death and no one notice. treat kids as delicate DUMB little dudes and teach em COMMON SENSE...
