Manga is literally the Japanese word for comics or print cartoons. In the US and other countries, manga refers to comics that originate in Japan. There is also Korean manhwa, Taiwanese manhua, Chinese manhua, HK manhua.

Anime is literally an abbreviation of the English word animation and in Japan refers to animation in general. In countries outside of Japan, it is used to refer to animation and other like material that originates from Japan.

A pixel is a sample of an original image. The more pixels, the closer it is to resembling the orginal image. IE, the higher the resolution, the more detailed it is. So depending how an anime is presented, yes, it can be made up of pixels. But saying "animes are made up of pixels" is not using the word 'pixels' in the proper context.

I agree with Kempfy and Hitsugaya:
Manga is Paper or written form of a story
Anime you watch........it is like a motion picture of the written story aka manga.
