It's hard to remember, since I was 3 or 4 years old at the time and I was still living in Korea (my early childhood memories are very vague). What I can actually recall is watching Astro Boy, hence the reason why I voted Anime (though manga might have been the first)

Anime was my first, the first anime i saw was Robotech, at the time I
didn't know it was anime. The first manga i read was Dragon Knights.

I first watched anime and my first anime ever was Get Backers and Full Metal Alchemist (I watched them both during the same time so I don't know which one really came first)

I like reading manga cause well, it kinda looks better than some animes out there (Vampire Knight is an example...to me at least) However animes are fun too ^_^ So to me they are tie since I like both equally

If your into anime you should watch Ouran High School Host Club...actually even if your not you should watch it...its a really funny show that shouldn't have ended ^_^

My fiend had buy them and she told my to read it.

for me it all started when i was in kindergarten, with sci-fi and horror comics that my dad bought. ► then came MAD magazine and superheroes and 2000AD and drug induced indy comics (like Crumb and Furry freak brothers and Pahkasika and Myrkky) and European comics ► then in mid 90's i found Ranma½, but it was so expensive, that i had to steal it! (it would have taken me 2 months to buy it, and thats if i saved all my money. At least nowadays manga costs 4 times less than back then!) ► then in Finncon 99 (or was it 98?) a finnish science fiction and fantasy convention, i found this one room were they were showing fansubbed anime, nonstop, on a big screen. I then found out that they had an anime club in my town and they would show anime on a big screen twice a month and they had a video library from where i could borrow tons of anime.. and of course i joined the club! ► and now im 14 hours in front of my computer, every day, watching anime or reading comics/manga

For me, it's anime... If you ask me, i think the first anime i saw is Voltes five XD but the first one i watched is yuyu hakusho... and my first favorite anime (that lead me to watch more anime) is card captor sakura =)
