But they're such different...long, shounen soap operas! With super-powered heroes who can sense one another's spiritual strength...and battles that go on for chapters on end whilst all the characters discuss their "new techniques" or diabolical plans or dysfunctional families...Come on, they are absolutely completely different series with nothing in common!

*offtopic* why DO characters explain their techniques and plans to their enemies during fights? It just gives the enemy the ability to strike back more strategically...I know it's for the reader's benefit, but from the character's perspective it never did make any sense.

I know 'tis a sin to compare Manga with conventional comics, but...I can't imagine Spiderman fighting an enemy while saying, "I created this web fluid with my father's chemistry ideas, and now I will shoot this webbing out of my web blasters and stick you to a surface, thereby trapping you...etc, etc" He just shoots them.

Compare that to Bleach: "I learned this new technique which will make all your riatsu belong to us...ect, ect"

It gets kinda old.

NO CONTEST WHAT SO EVER! naruto is a series about a bunch of emo kids that want to learn to fight in sissy ways...and they are also a disgrace to ninjas everywhere...REAL NINJAS DONT RELY ON THAT CHAKRA BULLSHIT!.... all about bleach...and bleach also has the two most real badass ninjas ever...soifon and yoruichi...and the whole stealth squad...ok more than 2

MAIN ICHIGO HATER NUMBER ONE HAS ARRIVED! (poses in Naruto's
gay little appearance.) haha. anyway, i am in no way, shape, or
form one of Ichigo's big fans, and in fact, i dont even really like the
guy, however, this has not stopped me from liking Bleach. First off,
the Bleach storyline was not written for freaking six year olds (ill
give Naruto the fact that i like the way the last couple of chapters
were written) but, Bleach offers a complete storyline. like some
one else said, it isn't ichigo ichigo ichigo ichigo, whereas i got tired of
hearing the Naruto after about chapter 25....also, although i think that
Ichigo is relatively too strong (we can save this for another time), there
is no way Naruto should be as strong as he is! i mean sure, hard work
and determination goes a long way, but come on, not that long. and the
Kyuubi is way too overrated. Bleach by a longshot.

Yeah this can be nonsensical at times, albeit amusing. I'll actually take you up on the comparison, while I hate Marvel and all its ilk (DC rocks!), Spiderman for instance is woven around Peter Parker exclusively- unlike most manga.
and Bleach doesn't really succumb to this fault as some others I could mention- as in characters don't go, "I learned this technique and it works like this, see? so now- I'm gonna use it on you, in exactly 20 seconds so whenever you're ready"
For instance with Urahara and Yammy's fight, etc.
and of course whenever it does happen we can always justify it by saying: 'they're just trying to one up each other' ha ha!

And I've wanted to say this to any Naruto fans and everyone else for a long time- is that really what you expected of Ninjas? I mean 'NINJAS'? Ninja turtles did a better job than that for crying out loud!! and even Flame of Recca is comparable to Naruto; with flame powers, chakra, and what not.

I'd love to see a real ninja manga one day, with Ninja's cool enough that you can proudly say- 'dude, those guys are as freaking badass as Batman!'

well i love both of them really...and i'm not gunna say which one i like more..but i will say that the Naruto Shippuden is sooooo much better then when they were younger...as for the bleach..like it alot too but for the anime..i'm not enjoying the fillers...

that is the truth...naruto=idiots. not ninjas, just idiots...real ninjas use kunais, shurikens, swords, and martial arts and that is it...not that omg reasaga or whatever it is bullcrap...oh and they don not ever fuse with a freakin PUPPY (was bored saw it on a cartoon network episode...was waiting for one piece)...NARUTO SERIES NEEDS TO DIE!...not the author just the series
