[Glitch]

Hey there guys. Know we have a somewhat inactive staff team here, hell it's the first time you seen me :P

I guess you all know that MF is in need of a bit of a spruce up. Seeing as I'm a veteran at Vbulletin admincp's i know my way around although I can't commit as much time here as I do over at animeEDEN < selfish plugging of MFs sister site =D. (To think we were gonna call this site Manga-Eden -___-')

This new stuff should include the following:

• Fixing of the usergroups, public groups and such
• A jiggling around of the forums
• Correction of forum descriptions etc
• The rehashing of some threads, making them a little more efficient
• Possible introduction/removal of certain sections
• Some frikking rules!!

If you guys have any ideas then you are welcome to send a PM over to me ^^
Oh also, if there are any forum bugs, I may be able to look into them although I don't have direct server access so what I can do in this respect is limited.

Nice to meet you even though you made this site it is kinda weird that we don't know you

It is also kinda weird that all the staff keeps changing their names but oh well. As long as your going to upgrade stuff that is always good. My ideas would be:

A overhauled search function. It is very hard to find a manga if you forget what its called. It took me 2 hours to find one by clicking because the search didn't help. It would also help people find manga that they like.

A new skin for the forum. I like akiba-online's new look and I think mangafox should look just as good.

Checked the search on the main site and it seems to be pretty decent there :P (In fact it is awesome) You can search with begins, ends and contains and then there is a whole drop down box to search via generes and such o_O I don't think a better search could possibly be made...

Skin goes with the same thing, although I can design I don't do layouts and am not an expert, I have plenty of links with anime site designers but that's something that Manga.Dreamer will have to do ^^. Besides MF has a pretty nice skin and it's only been going a few months :P I checked out Akiba-Online and it looks ugly >.<

lol..finally posting ^^...should I say welcome..but that would be weird lol since you are an admin lolz.

I support most if not all the ideas...would like to read the set of rules asap lol...annoying to see alot of people requesting updates in the discussion threads of the respective manga.

for the seacrh wen u search for a genre lets say "romance" it only brings up the first 50, in alphabetical order, can't u change it that u can see all romance wen doin a search?

A momentary way to bypass this to get more search results is to click on the various titles ie. Series Name/ Rating/ Views and it will resort everything (however you need to go back and select Romance again, or whatever you're looking for). So you could get the results in reverse alphabetical order, and therefore view more results. Another possibility is just limiting/narrowing down your search to recieve fewer results.

I do agree that it would be helpful to see all of the possible search results, instead of the first 50 or so.

Regarding improvements to the site, I think everything works really well. However, I think having each series have its own subforum is tedious and unneeded. It would just be better to have subforums for the series that are currently generating the most discussion and split the other ones by genre: ie. shoujo, seinen, shounen. I personally like the layout of the site and the forums. I find the search function very helpful and comprehensive.

One suggestion I would add for the search function is an option to search for new or updated manga, since the list on the home page can be filled so fast that I miss out on some of the new stuff, and have to look through all of the listings for the "Updated" or "New" markers. It would be nice if a search would do that for me.
