i think the idea above seems like a good idea but i kinda disagree alot applicants will be people who spend alot of time on manga fox or help out here or there in someway. most of these people will have already had contact with some if not most of the mangafox staff. In the end the mods are to choose people they feel comfortable working with and think are reliable. so i dont think that the mangafox comunnity should have much of a say in this as they are not the ones who will work with the other staff members. this may seem biased but at the end of the day being liked or disliked has nothing to do with doing your job as a mangafox staff member.

If it bothers you so much, modify the manga information to include the schedule of releases. I've done that for Vampire Knight because the incessant inquiries bothered me so much. They have reduced greatly since. You should be able to tell the frequency of the releases based on uploading or if you've been told already, that's even better.

which is why some scan groups even have a chapter status list for the manga they translate for the public to see.

Problem #2 the problem with when scanlators get the chapters out. The problem really isn't with some of the more famous manga such as Vampire Knight or Bleach and etc. but more for manga in which the scanlators dropped the series, or the scanlations come out really slow and at random or even when the author send chapters out at random or have gone on haitus. We can't put up schedule for manga that we don't know when the chapters will come out >.<

maybe a list of whats been released and link to the scanlator's site/forum (if they have one)

I think just a link may work, however, that may limit us on what scans we put up, and it may show we support certain scanslators.

But onemanga does have links on their pages if avaliable.

Or we could send people to Baka XD

Thats where I always go if I don't know when chapters come out or the status of the manga.

I don't think I'd mind being a moderator. I'm pretty young but I can only hope that's not a matter. All I'd need is some instructions and I'd get the hang fast, like a video game kinda. Private message me if you need to know more or tell if I'd be allowed, I'd like to know if I'm old enough or something just for the sake of knowing heh heh . (That means moderators or administrators only people!)
