[Burnt.Toast]

I can't seem to figure out why I can't see my avatar underneath my username. All it leaves is a blank space underneath, no matter what method I use, uploading from my comp or from an image site, and it doesn't seem to matter which one I try to use. All of them fit the 100 x 100 and are under 32 kb.

My next problem is that when I decided to check out my profile, it keeps going to another user whose name is almost identical to mine. My username is Burnt.Toast, while the other username is burnt_toast. Is there anyway to see my profile page without seeing the other users'? Any help on these two issues would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

When I linked to this thread, I saw as if your user icon was trying to load and then it didn't. I also tried to link to your profile and got the same thing.

So, you're not going crazy.

I would try deleting your icon, logging out of MF, clearing your cookies, and then trying things again. As for more specific technical advice, I'll leave it to another moderator / admin.

Hey, thanks for the advice. I'll try what you suggested and see how things work out.

@dark_9tails: A cookie is like a file that's saved onto your comp as it keeps a record or such everytime you go onto a site that you would typically go to. Like this site for example, there'll be cookies that keep track of what your doing here.

Because when I linked to your profile, it showed burnt_toast's profile.
I'm guessing it's because your s/n's are so similar, that you're having trouble not only with your profile but also your avatar.

Yup, I'm still having trouble. I cleared all of my cookies, deleted my av, tried to post another one that I never tried and it repeated the cycle. And with my username, yeah, still the same problem. Perhaps I should get a new one or something.

the same thing keeps happening to my avatar; it's not showing up no matter what i upload, and when i view my profile, a different user, usa-chan, shows up.
i've tried seeliespright's advice, but it won't work.

It's because you have a username too similar to someone else. You will need to change your username, which you may request here. Read the rules and then post with your new username, indicating briefly your trouble to Hanging Gallow and she'll take care of it for you.
