Summary

Louise is a student at the Tristein Magical Academy who is known throughout the school for her amazing success rate in magic: Absolutely none. The students know her as "Louise the zero" for her zero success at magic, and she is known for causing violent explosions when she attepts most magic. And now, an important milestone is coming up: it is time for Louise and the rest of the students in her year at the academy to summon familliars, magical beasts to assist them the rest of thier magical carreer. Some pretty amazing familiars are soummoned, including a dragon, a floating eyeball, and a stange creature simillar to a giant mole. But what does Louise get? A normal Japanese boy name Hiraga Saito who is quite shocked to have been randomly sucked out of his everyday life and into a strange world full of strange people who speak stange languages and do stange things. And now he's supposed to take care of some stuck up girl who keeps refering to him with names like "commoner" and "dog" and makes him sleep on a bed of hay on the floor, and some how he has amazing skills with weapons of all sorts, be it a sword, machine gun, or Japanese war plane. Soon it is uncovered that Louise and Saito are part of a much bogger plot, one involving a lost element and the mysterious title Gundalfr.
